Pet care experience
I have always been a dog lover and I have been surrounded by dogs of many kinds my whole life. I personally have rehabilitated two dogs who came into my life with serious trauma related behavioral issues. I trained a two service dogs and have raised my own large dog from the time we rescued him at four weeks old. I have taken care of many elderly dogs and dogs with special needs including paralyzed dogs, dogs with neurological issues, dogs with mobility problems, and dogs that require medications throughout the day. I am experienced in administering medications, including injections. I love to go on walks as much as the pups do, I will be happy to take your furry friend on long walks. I have experience with large and high energy breeds and would be happy to take your friend to a park or green to burn off some of those zoomies. I truly believe every dog is unique just like every person. I will always tailor my time to your pet and his or her needs.

Vita has been looking after my cats and dogs since 2015. She has the biggest heart and cares so much for living creatures. She is incredibly responsible and reliable. Most of all, she has an admiration and true affection for animals and is not shy to interact with them at their level and give them the attention they crave.
I enthusiastically recommend Vita as a pet caregiver. She has cared for my cat numerous times over the years as well as housesitting and other tasks. She is caring and responsible . My kitty comes out to greet her every time she comes over . Vita is trustworthy. I have always been comfortable with her being in my home when I'm away and know my kitty is being well cared for.
Vita provided dog sitting and dog walking services for us when one of my pups had back surgery. She was very reliable and very caring with my dogs. We could not have gotten through our pup's recovery without her help and we are very grateful to her for all her help. She did a great job!

At home I currently have one dog and three fish tanks stocked with a variety of plants, invertebrates and tropical fish. Though these lovely creatures sadly passed on from old age I have had parrots, snakes, geckos, and bearded dragons in the past and I have experience caring for these animals. My philosophy on pet care is based on bond and understanding. I am attentive to the cues an animal gives me from needs to feelings. I always make sure the pet I care for feels their boundaries are respected and I take new situations or introductions at their own pace. In training I know the importance of consistency and I will abide strictly by whatever training protocols you may have in place. I know that every animal comes with its own story and it's own needs and I see my role as a collaborator to help your pet feel his or her best.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs, medications, or triggers. I would appreciate if you could let me know how your dog is with other dogs and children so I can make informed decisions about their personal space with others while out and about. Please let me know ahead of time if your dog is prone to trying to escape the house so I can take precautions when coming and going. I would also appreciate it if you let me know if your dog is vaccinated, if they like interacting / playing with other dogs, and if they are allowed off leash and responsive off leash should you request I take them to a park. While I will "default" to leashed walks if your dog likes to play off leash at a park with others I am happy to accomodate that as long as they have sufficient recall training to come back when called. Every dog has their own story and I like to be aware of how I can best serve them or any challenges they may have. Please note I can not work with dogs that pull to great excess because of a knee defect. For doggy day care: I have a sweet boy puppy who will love to play with your doggy. Before starting doggy day care I would like to introduce my boy Pedro and your furry friend to make sure they will get along. Pedro is a gentle, loving, and playful boy. The only other animals in the house are fish. I live a litteral stones throw away form a big park where dogs are often off leash to play. Please confirm in advance if you pup is allowed off leash play.
A typical day
I would love to take you dog on long walks through the neighborhood or any fun local sites like the arboretum. I love going on walks myself so it will be a lot of fun for both of us. For more energetic dogs I will be happy to got to a park and play fetch or go to a dog park if there is one within walking distance. For the less energetic dog I uave a bottomless supply of cuddles. I love teaching my own dog silly tricks like waving to "say hello" or jumping up on a ledge for "walk the plank" and I would be happy to try those with your dog should you request.

Availability
I am a full time student as well as an art and music teacher but I study asynchronously and remotely. With the exception of exams, Sundays (12:45-3:45) and Fridays I am available to be at your disposal.
