Loving care when you're not there
Pet care experience
I am a certified family dog mediator (FDM) and am currently enrolled in Michael Shikashio's Aggression in Dogs Master Course. Beyond this, I'm a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and hold a BA degree in Philosophy, with concentrations in animal and environmental ethics. My academic background is deeply rooted in the field of animal behavior and welfare, driven by a strong desire to help families understand their pets, assist in addressing challenges, improve animal welfare, and contribute to the rehabilitation of rescued animals. I have several years of pet-sitting experience caring for a diverse range of animals. This encompasses dogs, miniature pigs, cats, goats, horses, cows, birds, small mammals, fish, reptiles, and more. At the heart of my life are three large wonderful dogs: Bane, Hades, and Luna. In my eyes, they're far more than just pets; they are an integral part of my family. I've successfully worked with animals that: - have anxiety, fear, trauma, reactivity, and other behavioral issues - have high energy needs - require special medical attention - require rotations within the home - thrive in a relaxed environment - are puppies still learning

So grateful for Virginia. I was unsure about getting a dog sitter/walker for my pups because they’re a little anxious around strangers and they’re pitties so I know a lot of people have preconceived feelings about them. Virginia wasn’t bothered by that and took her time with them and they’ve warmed up so well!
The only thing bigger than Virginia’s heart is her love for animals! They say do what you love and let it kill you. Consider Virginia already 6ft under lol. Her care and love for your pet will go leaps and bounds past what’s required. Whether it’s a simple drop in to fun in the sun adventure time she’s got you covered for all your pets needs/wants. You’ll never need to look for exceptional care anywhere else!
Amazing help! Thank you!
Virginia is the absolute best! Her attention to detail is such a blessing. Whatever your pet needs she goes above and beyond to achieve it. From puppy energy to elderly animal patience, she’s got what your furry family member needs! Can’t recommend her services enough!!!

Information Virginia S. would like to know about your pet
* Meet & greets are required before I provide pet care. I need to know the following: - the personality and preferences of your dog - if they struggle with anxiety, fear, aggression, and other behavioral issues - if there are any medical concerns/treatments - up to date on vaccines - their vet information if there is an emergency - their particular feeding regimen I should be aware of if applicable - a typical day for your dog and any issues you believe they may struggle with while you are away - any other information you feel I may need to know
A typical day
I'm comfortable with a wide range of tasks, including feeding, walking, playtime, enrichment activities, training, pet rotations (if needed), cleaning, bathing, and administering medications. As for activities, I tailor them to your pet's personality and interests, in consultation with you. With your approval, we can explore a variety of options, from long walks, nature hikes, beach trips, fetch, tug-of-war, puzzles, snuffle mats, treat balls, kongs, lick mats, busy boxes, etc. And for those who simply prefer to lounge and cuddle, I'm here to accommodate every individual preference.
