Lifelong cat-lover and pet mom of 3

Pet care experience

5 years experience with the wonderful Max, 13 years with my beautiful Wednesday, and 9 months with our little Odo. I’ve been caring for cats since I was small (25ish years?) and am definitely the person at the party trying to befriend the pets! Max has diabetes and Wednesday has allergies which require shots, so I am comfortable providing injection medications to pets if needed. I love hiking and taking long walks, so I am happy to take your pup on a nice walk around the neighborhood. My job is mostly remote so I have a lot of flexibility in my day!

Thanks for your loving care Virginia.

Virginia is a cat-whisperer! They seriously love her and she loves them. On top of being a cat magnet, she's also an extremely responsible pet owner. She puts the animals in her care as her first priority in sickness and in health. Virginia is extremely attention to detail oriented and methodical with her care. I've personally asked her to take care of my pet while I was away, and saw them thrive while in her trust. To the point they started to like her so much I got a little jealous! :) She is a wonderful caregiver and even better human.

Safety, trust & environment

I prefer to care for pets in their home environment because I know that they feel more comfortable on their own turf. Our dog is reactive to other dogs, but loves cats. I am comfortable walking her and know how to avoid confrontations with other dogs. She loves people, so we don't tend to avoid them! Cats are always more comfortable in their home environment and I am happy to meet them there. I am always respectful of house rules and will leave your home exactly as you leave it.

Information Virginia P. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet is reactive ahead of time. I am comfortable with redirecting and walking my 70 lbs staffy, but I know that every situation is different. If that means we walk a different route or play inside instead - that is fine :). As long as I have the information ahead of time we will be set up for success.

A typical day

I am happy to meet the needs of your pet. If they prefer to play, eat, then go out for a walk OR eat, play, then walk OR walk, eat, then play - its up to them! I am very meticulous when it comes to following instructions and my own loves have their specific schedule. For us its food first :) but I am happy to do what you're fur baby wants to do

I work from home so I have flexibility in the mornings and evenings. My job takes me all over the greater Seattle area and I am generally aware of my travel schedule a few days in advance. I am happy to time my breaks nearby if walks/drop-ins are needed. My weekends are generally free and timing can be flexible. I am generally out hiking or at a yoga/aerial studio in Renton so I can drop-in further south too.
