Pet care experience
(No pit bulls.) We keep our place very clean. Seperate room for drop offs. It is easy for the pup and and easy to communicate. Contact us! Just fyi, I am always with the dogs and often can't respond right away since I'm not on my phone. What sets me apart from other pet-sitters is our set-up and that I carefully focus 100 percent on the dogs in my care—clients love that my caring style hinges on positive reinforcement and that I treat every dog with a huge amount of patience, respect and understanding.I do it because I have a passion for it and see an urgent need for quality care. There are open, yet separate areas that allow me to introduce dogs at their speed. Almost every room has doors to one of the yards or the sunny deck overlooking Salmon Creek park trails. I carefully watch the dogs, if they need some separate space, to eat without other dogs, to settle in at night in a room with us but without other dogs pestering them. They sleep well. I monitor food intake and watch for anything that needs attention ahead of time. I go outside with them, even with high secure fencing, just to make sure all goes well. We have lots of area to run off-leash and play to their hearts content. I'm not on my phone, unless I'm sending you a photo. I take your trust in me, to care for them, seriously. I tried to tip more but Rover wouldn’t let me 😔I cannot express my gratitude enough, for the genuine love and care they have provided for Millie, which has given me great peace of mind, in an extremely stressful life season for me. They are absolutely amazing, and a godsend!! ❤️ Let’s put it this way...I drive from Kalama to Vancouver (30 minute drive) so Millie can stay with them. Millie would also agree...she loves their yard, but she most definitely loves them. 🥰
We looked forward to this place being a safe haven for our little Yorkie that likes to escape and run. They had all safety measures covered on seeing their home. We were sad they had an emergency come up and cancel on us.
So comforting to have someone take care of your fur baby with such love and care!

Because we occasionally have young or old dogs I am careful to ask that my clients provide proof of vaccination, flea and tick prevention and a clean fecal for giardia, this protects your dog also. I make sure the doggies feel safe so please let me know if they have much experience in daycare or being around new dogs, this gives me an idea of how to go at their speed in introducing them to others.
A typical day
Off-leash play in our yard, with separated areas to run and play or when one or more dogs need a break or just want to lay in the sun. We are dog-centric, watching the dogs the entire time they are here. If they are outside, we are outside, Tall, reinforced fencing securely surrounds the yard. The decks have plenty of areas to soak up the sun, run around chasing a ball, or lounge on the porch. Inside are large separate areas that work well at night, or anytime the dog needs to relax or have his own space and to eat in peace. The rooms are open concept with dog gates if needed, so they are still in the room with us, in the kitchen, living, dining and more. I carefully observe the dogs, I go outside every time with them even with high secure fences, just to make sure all goes well. I am not on my computer or phone ignoring them. I keep alert for changes and I document feedings and other behavior so that we are on top of anything that needs attention. I watch for boredom or stress. I watch if play is getting to be too much or if they need some human touch. Our place borders long trails along the creek that we can access simply by stepping out the door where we can always take a walk, if the dogs prefer.
