Pet care experience
Hi there! I'm Virginia, and I've been an animal lover all of my life! I used work for the Kentucky Humane Society, and have over seven years of experience with pets. I love long hikes and walks ( preferably with a furry friend) and my schedule is very flexible! I'm prompt, polite, and I always put your animal's welfare before anything else! I'm trained in the proper and safe ways to walk dogs and cats (yes cats too!). I'm comfortable with walking dogs on no-slip leads, collar and leash, and harness and leash. I'm comfortable with walking kitties on harness and leash or in a stroller with a harness on. From my experience at the Humane Society, I am able to effectively give medicines to dogs and cats, via pill pocket or otherwise. If your furry friend has meds that they need, I can make sure they get them! I love all breeds of dogs, and all sizes! I'm very experienced with elderly dogs and cats as well. I believe that happy dogs and cats are ones that are kept active!

Virginia took excellent care of our corgis, Lily and Thor! She stayed in our house and gave them bed privileges and played lots of fetch! She kept in great touch with us via text while we were gone, so I never felt concerned about their care or welfare!
Virgina was amazing she sent me pictures of my dog while I was gone, cleaned up his stuffed animals he destroyed, and took great loving care of him. I will definitely use her again!!!
I have known Virginia for almost a year and have always been impressed with her work ethic, her knowledge about animals, passion for educating people and her infectious attitude. Virginia is bright, bubbly, positive, and has a natural talent when connecting with animals. She understands behavior, strives to make all dogs comfortable and happy, and does so effortlessly. Dogs love to be around her! She is dedicated to her work and is always looking for ways to better serve the animal community including training, fostering, volunteering and others. I have a fully fenced in back yard and a (not to toot my own horn) very well trained 8 month old shepherd mix dog that loves other animals and is respectful of the space of other animals.

I love all breeds! There is not a dog that I'm not willing to work with. From my experience in a shelter environment, I have successfully and safely walked reactive dogs. To best keep your animal safe I would love to know if they are allergic to anything or if they dislike other dogs/cats.
A typical day
I love hiking at Tom Sawyer park, around the neighborhood, anywhere your pet feels most comfortable. I enjoy walking at Iroquois and Seneca park as well.
