Pet care experience
I work from home so your dog will get all the care and attention he or she needs. As an avid dog lover myself, I know how important it is to find that special home-away-from-home for your dog. Your dog will be treated like family! I have experience in dog-sitting, fostering and rescue. I am a volunteer with Austin Boxer Rescue, am involved with the New Braunfels Humane Society and the Animal Defense League. I have experience caring for small, medium and large dogs. I have rescued three boxers, fostered a boxer, a Yorkie, two Terriers, a Lab and two English Pointers. My house is extremely dog friendly and my neighborhood is a great walking neighborhood with Landa Park just around the corner. I make sure dogs get plenty of exercise and play time, as well as relaxation. If you have any questions or would like to set up a meet and greet, feel free to send me a message. Our dog was cared for and kept safe. She sent pictures with fun comments! She is calm and knowledgeable.
Individual cancelled at last minute due to family issue, which resulted in individual not providing services. Unfortunately last minute cancellation resulted in me having to reschedule my trip.
Virginia was Amazing, sending multiple pics and letting us know if there were any changes to Pebbles and Henry’s health. I’m sure Virginia is in our future when we need a dog sitter. You can’t get any better than her.
Virginia did a wonderful job with our dogs. She sent us pictures every day and they looked very happy: I just booked her again for another dog sitting appointment.

Before keeping a dog in my home, for their own safety, I would like to know as much of their history as I can. Are they escape artists, have they ever been aggressive towards other dogs before? What is your dog's temperament? What are their special needs/requests? Is your dog fully potty trained? What are the behaviors that concern the owners?Seemingly insignificant details can surface in a new environment. Knowing as much of their history as I can, I can better work with the owners to identify triggers and to modify potentially troublesome behavior for their pet's safety and comfort.
A typical day
I have a great downtown walking neighborhood close to Landa Park and the West Loop Off Leash Dog Park, as well as, a nice backyard for a good game of fetch.
