An Invite To All (Dog)Walks Of Life

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Violet. I'm a recent graduate of student of NYU and am looking for work as a dogsitter/walker. I moved to New York from Hawaii, and I miss my own pups terribly. I have a pitbull-lab mix named Coal and a chihuahua-jack russel terrier mix named Amilia that were my pride and joy. I trained both myself + learned how to handle both bigger dogs and smaller ones and the issues that come with both. Long story short, I am open for work for most dogs. Still in training? Not a problem. Medical issues? More than happy to help and accommodate. Just need someone to watch the cutie because you got called in for a last minute shift? Give me a call! I live just off Atlantic, but more than happy to take care of puppies near Eastern Parkway and head on over to the park!

Violet was a great walker, always communicating well before and during walks. Highly recommend for sitting or walking!

Violet has watched my dogs (and cats) for almost 2 years. She has watched my pets regularly on weekends while I'm at work, as well as away on vacations. She is very knowledgeable and intelligent. I have dogs varying from 15 lbs to 100 lbs, all different ages, with various different needs (medications, dietary restrictions, etc) and Violet is a rockstar when it comes to making sure everybody has what they need. My pets are totally comfortable around her and there has never been an incident while under her care. She seems to have a remarkable aptitude for managing larger dogs, and Violets maturity and love of animals makes me feel totally at ease.

I am safe, clean, and respectful of whoever’s home I am stepping into. If you need me to do a home visit for you, there will be consistent communication and check ins about the state of your home and your puppy while I’m checking in. I may sometimes bring my laptop to do work if it is a longer term stay, but other than that, my attention is completely on your dog :)

Information Violet A. would like to know about your pet

Dietary restrictions and allergies are a requirement for me to know. If your pup is special needs, please provide detailed instructions regarding any treatments or medications, as well as exercise limits and the like. Please note any behavior issues or past problems beforehand (just for my awareness while scheduling activities). In short, anything you specifically want me to know beforehand. All breeds are welcome (including mutts and mixes).

A typical day

If the location is fairly near Prospect Park, we will be going on runs and out socializing (if your pup isn't the social type, no problem! A run and some belly scratches are most definitely on the checklist). For home check ins, I'll usually bring treats with me if there aren't any available (that are in line with their diet, of course) and there'll be some play time and potty breaks. If there's anything specific you know your dog enjoys (places, activities, etc.) let me know!
