From a very young age I grew up around a variety of different types of dogs, and was always very involved in their care, training, and growth. These dogs varied greatly in size and breeds, ranging from several small Cocker Spaniels to a large Rottweiler mix. These experiences gave me a deep love for animals, and I'm thrilled to have found a job that allows me to spend time with dogs! My brother worked for years at a professional dog daycare center, and I learned a lot about training dogs from him, as well as the resources he found useful while he was in the profession - in particular Pat Miller's "The Power of Positive Dog Training", which I have found extremely effective both in training dogs as well as in simply understanding them and their behaviors. Outside of working with dogs I am a graduate student at Boston University studying classical music performance, and I also work as a freelance musician. Being a classical musician requires great personal responsibility and punctuality, attributes I believe will be an asset as a dog walker and sitter as well.
