Pet care experience
I've always had an affinity for animals, having grown up alongside a variety of furry family members. In middle school, I began pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors and spent my junior and senior year of high school volunteering at the local humane society in my Georgia hometown. After high school, I got a job at a pet store, and shortly after began my journey as a professional dog trainer. I have been training dogs and their people since 2018 and have had hundreds of students of all sizes, ages, and personality types. As part of my education as an instructor, I learned critical skills such as environmental management and accurate body language assessment. I am CPDT-KA certified with the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers and am pursuing further education through reputable sources in the field, including the Karen Pryor Academy and Victoria Stillwell Academy. I routinely attend behavior conferences and seminars to keep myself as informed and up-to-date as possible. Personally, I have a four-year-old, 85lb chocolate lab named McCoy, who is a part-time, task-trained service animal. I also have two cats, Rosie and Zigmund. Both of my cats have chronic health conditions, so I have experience caring for special needs animals. In addition to my mammals, my family has several leopard geckos, ball pythons, a bearded dragon, a betta fish, and a bullfrog. With seven years of professional experience in the pet care industry on top of a lifelong dedication to animal welfare and education, I am ready to give your furry, scaly, or feathered family member the attention they deserve.
Reviews
Vincent is trustworthy, punctual, knowledgeable, and overall great with my dog Gigi. You can tell he is a real animal lover and Gigi really enjoys when he comes to walk her. 10/10 highly recommend him for any of your pet care needs.
Vincent was amazing when providing multiple drop in visits a day for several days with our two cats, one a kitten at the time. They were timely to drop-ins, very attentive to both of our kitties needs, and gave our kitten extra attention and toys! Vincent even stopped by in person for a meet and greet before we left town. I really appreciated this because at the time both kitties were not getting along and we had set up some strict boundaries that Vincent followed without mishap. Vincent made sure to send wonderful photos and videos of our cats with each visit which we greatly enjoyed and looked forward to. We will be looking for Vincent on Rover the next time we leave town and need our kitties watched. Thank you Vincent!!
Vinny is a reliable, intelligent, and passionate dog trainer. He his committed to his students and he works so well with my dog. Additionally, he has helped me with my reptiles numerous times and he's always very gentle and attentive to their needs.
We had training classes for both of our dogs with Vinnie and was so great to work with him. He used every trick in the book to help us with our lab Remi. The classes were fun, and educational and Vinnie was so patient and kind and helpful with us as we would get frustrated with some commands because Remi wasn’t picking up on them. But in the end Remi and our other dog Trixie graduated with flying colors. We couldn’t be happier with the results as each dog are very well behaved.

Safety, trust & environment
Whether I'm training, walking, or sitting, I treat the animals in my care as if they were own. I am force-free, positive reinforcement-based trainer and apply those same principles in all of my animal interactions. I myself am extremely protective of my pets and prioritize safety above all else. When I am out, I bring a backpack with me to hold water bottles/bowls, a first aid kit, and pet wipes. I can also carry toys, treats, or other items to keep your pet comfortable and engaged. I follow instructions as they are given, so the more information you can give me, the better job I can do for you and your best friend.
Information Vincent S. would like to know about your pet
Things I would like to know about your pet: medical needs/accommodations, general temperament (reactive to other dogs, shy around strangers, etc), dietary preferences, and of course their favorite activities/treats/toys.
A typical day
As a positive-reinforcement based trainer, fun and games are my specialty. My favorite types of walks are "sniffaris", where the dog leads the way at their own pace, enjoying the sights and smells at their leisure while I simply guide and supervise. These kinds of walks add mental stimulation to the walk as well as helping your dog feel more relaxed. I take breaks with the dogs as needed, providing plenty of water and, with permission, healthy snacks. I also like using games like hide and seek, finding hidden toys/treats, or the classic fetch/frisbee. Every dog is unique with their own personal preferences, and I will adjust accordingly to match their individual play style.
