Pet care experience

Insured, hyper-local cat confidant!

I became interested in pet care as a student for the same reason I now provide it professionally: Keeping animals safe, comfortable, and entertained truly makes me happy! Whether it’s the extroverted cat ready to tell me all about their day or the bashful pup who'll eventually become my second shadow, it won't take long for me to fall in love with your pet and their unique personality. I aim for your furry family to enjoy our time together—not just tolerate it! And I’ll be sure to keep you updated on all our adventures while you’re away. You can expect detailed notes, photos, and peace of mind from knowing your pets are in professional, loving hands. I see my work as a service to your whole household, so I strive to do right by my animal and human clients alike. For testimonials from clients, please feel free to peruse my reviews! For answers to some FAQs, please scroll down (on mobile) or look at the "Availability" section of the box on the left of your window (on desktop). ————————————— 🐾🐾🐾 How to book my services 🐾🐾🐾
⚠️ Please note that the services I offer to Frenchies, English bulldogs, Boston terriers, and pugs are limited due to allergies. I can provide walks or predominantly outdoor drop-in visits (e.g. backyard playtime). I cannot provide housesitting (with or without overnights) or predominantly indoor drop-in visits for these breeds. ⚠️ Please note that I am nearing capacity for overnight-inclusive housesitting at present; you are welcome to still send me a request, but I thank you in advance for your understanding if I cannot accommodate it. I am still largely available for “day-sitting,” i.e. substantial daytime service without overnights. This might be suitable for pets who don’t require overnight care, or for those who require daytime company while their humans are away for a day trip or date night. If you are interested in further discussing a potential “day-sit,” please feel free to send me either a drop-in or housesitting request. 1️⃣ Please send me a booking request via Rover containing: • Dates • Times and windows of flexibility • A brief overview of the service(s) you are seeking 2️⃣ I will send you my intake form, where you can provide a fuller picture of your pets and their care. 3️⃣ We will schedule a brief Meet & Greet at your home. Once we humans have met face-to-face—and my future furry friends have confirmed I pass muster—we’ll finalize the booking from there! —————————————

Safety, trust & environment

🤝 FAQ: CAN I TRUST YOU WITH MY FURRY FAMILY? 🤝 My day job entails high attention to detail; there's no room for doors left open or tasks left undone. I bring the same diligence and reliability to your pet care. I believe this is also why many clients entrust me with their pets’ medical needs, including: • Postoperative rehabilitation • Endocrine disorders: feline and canine diabetes, hypo- & hyperthyroidism, etc. • Arthritis and compromised mobility • Respiratory disorders • Allergies • Tripods • Canine estrus (heat) • Breed-specific care & risk factors and more! ————— 🛡 FAQ: WHY ARE YOU INDEPENDENTLY INSURED? DOESN'T ROVER ALREADY PROVIDE INSURANCE? 🛡 I sought and maintain independent insurance coverage because I am committed to the safety of pets, homes, and property under my care. When booking a sitter myself, independent insurance coverage is the first thing I look for. Rover's Terms of Service emphasize that Rover does not insure bookings and that the Rover Guarantee is a discretionary reimbursement program. Example Rover Guarantee exclusions: • Chronic, breed-specific, pre-existing, preventable, or orthopedic conditions • Most non-injury illnesses • Veterinary care after 30 days • Burglary, keys, and locks • Sitter property damage • Meet & Greet injuries or damages • Anything involving cars (whether the pet is a passenger or a pedestrian) Regardless of whether clients book me on- vs. off-Rover, the primary form of protection for our booking is my independent pet sitter's insurance.

Vidya was so amazing with my cat Monti. She is very organized and took notes during the initial visit and followed through on his care precisely. He takes prescription food and she was thoughtful about how much food and water he was taking in and reported observations to me. She observed how he liked to play and even innovated new ways to play, with safety in mind. The pictures taken during care and play are so heart warming when you're away from home. She is observant, respectful, warm and kind to my cat, and very easy to communicate and work with. Truly a top tier sitter!

Vidya is terrific! Her attentiveness to my senior cat, beyond her care and feeding and play time, goes above and beyond. My cat adores Vidya, and that’s saying something. Vidya gives me peace of mind when away, knowing my cat is receiving excellent care from someone she trusts, and I thoroughly trust too.

Vidya, as always, was amazing with our shy older cat, was incredibly flexible and communicative in the midst of our crazy winter snowstorm and ever-shifting travel plans, and sent us photos and detailed updates of our little guy that were the next best thing to being there at home with him. Three cheers and five stars!

🐱 FAQ: WHOM DO YOU SERVE? 🐶 Cats, dogs...and even some livestock and exotics! I have a soft spot for sighthounds, gentle giants, and cats of all sorts. ⚠️ Please note the updates regarding allergy-related service constraints for certain dog breeds and my current housesitting availability. Both updates are marked with this symbol (⚠️) and located in the main section of my profile entitled “Pet care experience” (desktop) or “About” (mobile). Please be advised that certain circumstances may incur additional fees, including: • Puppies, adolescents, or seniors • New adoptees • Medication administration posing increased personal injury risk • High companionship or supervision needs (“constant care”) 📍 My service radius is intentionally small, encompassing Chevy Chase and parts of Bethesda, Kensington, and Silver Spring. Many of my clients value the ability to consistently call on a "hyper-local" sitter who is already familiar with their neighborhood or apartment building. Proximity to pets' homes also helps me add drop-in visits or extend housesitting stays as-needed—and minimizes the impacts of traffic on my services. —————

⚽️ You can help me ensure your pet's comfort and fun! ⚽️ 1. On your intake form, please tell me about their routines and behavioral history. A new presence, tread, voice, and smell can understandably induce uncertainty/anxiety for many pets. Let me know if a certain schedule, activity, walking route, or order of care tasks might put them at ease. 2. At our Meet & Greet, I'll ask about toys, enrichment activities, and "eccentricities." If your pet is a sock-hoarder, puzzle-solver, conversationalist, or expert hunter...let me know! I'll be more than happy to incorporate their favorite activities into my visits. Mental stimulation is a great complement to physical exercise, and it can also be crucial for the wellbeing of senior and mobility-limited pets. Plus, it really helps us bond!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
