We LOVE company~Dog Sitting Service

Pet care experience

Hi There~ Looking for someone who is reliable and genuinely connects with animals? Having been blessed to have great animal care, I know first hand the concerns of leaving your pet for any period of time. I am in a stable place to return that peace of mind and provide others with the same excellent care I provided for my own fur child. I am a flexible, compassionate, and competent person that would happily tend to your pet while you are away. And, I have over 20 years experience in caring for other people's pets. To help ease the concerns of leaving your pet, my goal is to provide you and your pet with the peace of mind in their home while you are away, without draining your travel funds ;) It is ideal to meet you and your dog to make sure we are a good fit, please allow 72hr minimum prior to your departure to have a meet & greet. That doesn't always happen, maybe you're visiting from out of town or I'm traveling when you're looking to secure a sitter and a meet & greet is not possible. I have had great success connecting with clients over the phone to hear more about your pet's specific needs. Whatever your situation might be, let's find a way to accommodate it. I have been a Rover sitter since 2012 and caring for other people's pets since 1990. Why do I love dog sitting? I have always grown up with dogs. I have a strong intuition with animals and easily command their attention and respect, at times better than their owners ;) I found my dog in 1998 and have been the family pet sitter most of my life which has consisted of 6 dogs, 4 cats, and a few bunnies over the years. After 17.5 years, my best friend has gone to doggie heaven, which leaves a little void and that is an added incentive to do this line of work. After such a long and committed relationship I'm thoroughly excited to watch your baby because it will take awhile before I'm ready to "get involved" again. I am experienced administering medication. In the last 3.5yrs of my dog's life, she had neurological issues, so I understand first hand the importance of maintaining a routine so that she received her meds on a full stomach 2x/day, every day. After spending a small fortune with a doggie acupuncturist, we explored the DIY path. So sticking an animal with a needle was a regular practice for me. Thank you for checking out my profile!

Victoria was great with our mini Aussie Tessa! Walks, treats, dog park and pics - she was a happy tired pup at the end of each day 🤗😍

Victoria (and her daughter and pup) provided the most wonderful experience for our dog, Newt, while we were away. The meet-and-greet, the communication, and the ongoing relating were all fantastic. It is so comforting knowing that Newt is provided the highest possible care while we are away.

Information Victoria S. would like to know about your pet

I would want to know if your dog has a food aggression issues? How are they in a car? How are they being left alone? Their feeding schedule? If they have any leash aggressions? Are they responsive to a certain call or whistle? Are they trustworthy off a leash? If your dog has breed restrictions (some dogs discriminate- I've seen it). Your dog's quirks and idiosyncrasies. I can deal with anything and expect to see it, so I would want an honest rundown of their tendencies.

A typical day

Routine for housesitting clients: I will include your dog in the normal daily routine. In the morning 30-45mins return home for some breakfast. Midday walk and an evening walk usually a little longer and then we're home for dinner. And, a last out before bed. On the weekends, we like to go for long easy hikes so I'm sure your dog would enjoy the car ride and the open space. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: That depends. If your dog was cleaned in my care or before I got them I would consider them sleeping in the bed. Ideally, if your dog sleeps on its own bed, then I would encourage that. The time I'll spend with your dog: I work from home and with a new dog, I usually will not leave them unattended the first 24hrs until I learn their routine and help them adjust. How I will communicate with you: Usually, those first 24hrs are the toughest as your dog is transitioning from expecting you and accepting me. Chances are there are unique habits about your dog(s) that you mentioned and I will send you an update on how we are adjusting and mentioning that I saw it or did not see it. I'll more than likely tell you about the quality of your animal's elimination because that is a tale tell sign on how well they are adjusting. It's common for your fur friend to not poop in the first 24hrs if they do then that's great. If not, they should in the next 24hrs. But the point is you will be aware so by day 3 you aren't surprised, as an example. In general, most dogs are fine and have some degree of separation anxiety but that typically passes in the first 24hrs. There has only been one dog who became violently ill within an hour of being dropped off. I spent the entire stay nursing him back to health on the bland diet and had back to normal before his pet parent arrived. While inconvenient, it was the only thing I could do to support the animal in their owner's absence. And, that level of care should be expected from an experienced sitter.
