Not only have I lived with dogs and cats my entire life, but I have also worked with animals as well. For two years I volunteered at a cat shelter called VOKRA in Vancouver, BC; and for one year I worked as a co-op student at the animal care facility at Simon Fraser University in BC. I learned how to give topical and oral medication to animals such as dogs, cats, rodents, and birds; and I was even given two weeks of work experience at the Vancouver Zoo and an emergency vet clinic. At my own house I have lived with 4 different dogs (3 golden retrievers and 1 flat-coated retriever) all with ranging behaviours towards people and other dogs, and because of this I believe I have an excellent grasp on how to handle these different types of personalities. I have pet-sat for my friends dogs ranging from Chihuahua's to Rottweiler's, and I simply love meeting new dogs as they enrich my life and give me something to smile about (and to take pictures of).
