We Love All Dogs XXL to XXS

Pet care experience

I can ONLY take crate trained dogs. I apologize for any inconvenience. I've been on hiatus this past year with my new son, Corwin. He is just as much of an animal lover as my husband and I so we have decided to open our doors to all your lovely pups again! All dogs must be crate trained and great around toddlers. I am diligent about watching my son with all animals and will quickly separate the dogs and child if need be, which is the main reason each dog needs to arrive at our home with their own crate. Thank you so much for your understanding! Update: The reason my profile lists 80% of the owners I work with have received pictures is because a few owners have requested I e-mail them the pictures or send them to a different phone number since their phone cannot use data while they are vacation. I am happy to work with you on any special circumstances that may come up - such as not having access to cell phone data while traveling. I grew up on a farm in Eastern Pennsylvania with dogs, cats, and horses. I've been an animal lover my entire life and have adopted a cat from Animal Friends as well as adopted a puppy with my husband, Charlie. I'm free any day of the week including nights and weekends to make sure your pup stays happy and healthy while you're away. I have owned dogs and cats since I was 13 years old. Two years ago I helped out a friend while babysitting her Dachshund, Buster. He has severe abandonment issues and she needed me to stay at her apartment for the weekend that she was gone. I was able to take care of Buster and make sure he got the proper food, exercise, and attention that he needed. After spending that weekend with Buster I realized I would love to begin helping more owners by joining Rover.com. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I can remember. I got my first dog, Copper, when I was 13 years old. He was a juvenile at that point, a college student had gotten him without telling her land lord and had to give him up. I fell in love instantly. After a few years my brother brought home a boxer puppy named Chuck. My sister and Chuck loved each other so much that my sister ended up keeping him after my brother had to move to another state. After moving to Pittsburgh I went to Animal Friends planning on getting a dog of my own. I had my heart set on this sweet little girl named Chessie but the move was so recent I couldn't take her home. She was adopted quickly after that and was no longer available when I got back. While walking through the shelter I saw Jack, and couldn't say no to him. He hasn't decided if he loves the doggy visitors yet, so I keep up a dog gate at the bottom of the stairs so that Jack can get away as needed. He has warmed up to a few visitors and I've caught them snuggling, much to Jack's chagrin. The more enthusiastic visitors tend to have Jack hiding upstairs. In February of 2016 my husband and I found Ares in central Pennsylvania. After meeting him in person we decided we had to bring him home with us. He's becoming a well trained pup, but still is in a puppy phase. He loves to play with other dogs that come to visit and can get a little over eager. I am sure to watch the dogs at all times when they are together and crate Ares as well as any visitors when I am unable to have an eye on them. Due to the many animals I have in my house I only take crate trained dogs so I am able to maintain their safety and well being. Meet my pets Captain Jack Sparrow, "Jack" is a 3 year old mixed breed. His fun ears make me believe he is part Highlander. He is slightly playful but more cuddly and will curl up next to anyone in order to sleep the day away. Ares is a 1.5 year old Husky/English Shepherd mix. His eyes stop strangers in the street and he knows how cute he is and how to get out of trouble. He loves to chew on everything he's not allowed to chew on and enjoys fetch as well as cuddles. About my yard I have a fenced in back yard, there is a picture in my photos. The swing set has been taken down and now there is a ton of room for the dogs to run! My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering oral medications. I have experience giving medication to my family dog, Copper, as well as giving Ares his medications. We would wrap the medication in a treat, or coat it in peanut butter to administer it. I'd love to hear your tips and tricks to administer your dogs medication!

Victoria was everything I wanted in a sitter for my fur baby. My dog is a bit awkward( like his Mom) and Victoria was so amazing with us both!! Pictures and updates all the time.(My wish) Great news and the not so great(nervous and not eating in the morning) were delivered in a kind and loving way. I hate leaving McGinn but knowing he was being loved and understood by Victoria was what I needed to enjoy our vacation!

Victoria and her family were very accommodating when I had a last minute need to board my dog. I have never used rover or private boarding and was a little hesitant. The process was very easy and they were great

This was our first time using Rover and our first time leaving our puppy, so I was a little nervous, but it turns out I didn't need to be! Victoria was great about sending updates through the whole weekend and I think since she just went through the puppy stage with her own dog, was better equipped than most to handle our 4 month old puppy. Her dog is wonderful and I was glad Delta had a friend to play with while we were gone! We had a tire blow out on the drive home, which was stressful and set us back on our schedule, and Victoria was very understanding and worked with us to handle the pick up. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would definitely book with her again!

Information Victoria L. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know how your pup acts normally so I'll be able to see if anything is wrong. How do they normally react when you go away? What medications will they need and what is their typical daily routine? I would like to stay as close to their typical routine as possible in order to keep the stress level down while you are away.

Here's where we'll take our walks I live in West View in the North Hills and there are sidewalks on almost every road. We will walk up and down the hills on all the side walks where he can sniff out all the other dogs that live near by and mark some more territory.
