Providing care for 7 yrs, 116+ dogs
Pet care experience
I go to great lengths for each of my dogs. On Wag, I hold a 4.99-star review for walking and boarding 116+ dogs. In my 5 years of officially working with dogs through Wag (and now Rover), I’ve managed aggressive reactivity, oral medication, doggy diapers, allergies, insulin injections, accidents, removed sap off fur, and more. I am currently on sabbatical, so I am home most days. Your dog would hang out with me, my partner/dog caregiver #2 if they're home, and my scooter/motorcycle/skateboard-reactive foster failure, Lu (originally Blue), who absolutely loves to play hard and nap hard! (If your dog loves to WRESTLE, they’d have a blast hanging out with Lu.) Your dog will not only get exercise just from running up steep steps to my apartment, they'll also enjoy walks through the North Beach residential areas, as well as visits to Washington Square Park, Fishermen's Wharf, Coit Tower, or other dog-friendly locations. I return dogs happy and exhausted from their adventures, and sometimes even cleaner than when they were first handed off to me (I love a clean dog and appreciate dogs that have been groomed prior to arrival.) I use dog-friendly dog wipes on their their faces, the crevices of each paw, and pee/poop areas after each outing. Past clients have appreciated my detailed updates and photos throughout the day, my timeliness with pick-up and drop-off, the amount of attention and care I provide, and the high expectations I have for myself as a dog caregiver. Know that if your dog and I are a good match, I will give your dog my 110%!
Reviews
I’m a repeat customer of Victoria’s but this was the first time my dog, Jef, stayed with her and her dog Lu overnight. He stayed for 5 days/4 nights over Thanksgiving break. Victoria was so communicative and took the time to send me 3 daily & detailed updates along with lots of photos. Its like I get an update every time I wondered how he was doing. I know he’s well cared for with Victoria. He was also having stomach issues and she took extra special care of him, adjusted his good, and gave regular updates. He also had an accident so she bathed him and washed all of his stuff. I picked him up and he immediately went to nap 💤 as he had a great stay. I can’t thank you enough, Victoria!
Best to ever do it!!
Victoria is the best! I know my dog is always in good hands with her!
Victoria is incredibly patient, detail-oriented and communicative. Our dog Ollie had a great stay with her and Lu! She sent photo and video updates throughout his visit and kept me in the loop with his walks, eating schedule and medicine. This was our first time leaving him with a sitter that was outside of our family and I couldn't have been more at ease. He also warmed up to her dog and followed her around the house, making himself right at home. Thank you Victoria for watching our little guy so well!

Safety, trust & environment
SAFETY: After years of experience, I've learned to make my home dog-proof/dog-friendly! Trashbins are inaccessible, toilets are unlickable, food scraps are nowhere to be found (not even table tops pups may accidentally sneak up on!), and windows have mesh to prevent an accidents. I also make sure to vacuum and do a sweep of the house to make sure everything is high up or in an pup-proof drawer before pups arrive. I may also ask if you have pet insurance, and a vet helpline that I may utilize if an accident/emergency were to occur. My own dog, Lu, is very accident prone, so I have a lot of experience with emergency visits and requesting guidance through a vet consultation. TRUST/A little background about me: I wasn't allowed to have a dog of my own, so I used to geek out about dogs so much so I spent my childhood watching dog training shows, assisting at at doggy dare care, and dog sitting, in preparation to become a vet. I then got the reality check that I was not interested in surgery! So instead, I use my experience and knowledge about dogs to walk, board, sit, train, foster, and now, own! ENVIRONMENT: In our apartment, we have dog bed stations around the house. There are sun spots that my dog loves to lay in, along with stools or dog beds near our work stations so that the dogs can hangout with us. When bored, my dog has a toy basket in the open where they can go in and grab toys when wanted. Dogs are allowed on the couch, "sunbathing chairs," and on the bed at night. (I prefer if they could sleep in their crate, bed, or couch, but good puppers who stay at the foot of the bed/aren't accident-prone are very welcome)!

Information Victoria L. would like to know about your pet
1. What's your dog's personality like in general? 2. What are their quirks? (i.e., skateboards, motorcycles, men) 3. Do they know any commands? 4. Will your dog be okay being held and wiped from head to toe? I would prefer that dogs are trained to relieve themselves outdoors, but am ok with dogs trained to relieve themselves on puppy pads, or have diapers they are used to having on. On the off chance that our dogs don't do well together, I will have my dog stay over at my parents house during your dogs stay at mine.
A typical day
If your dog likes doing the following on a typical day, we're a match! - Would rather stay indoors and nap on my lap or in the sun - Open to playing a game of fetch, tug-of-war - Down to wrestle/play chase with Lu - Is happy with 2 walks during the day and night - Is comfortable getting picked up and wiped from head to paws after each walk - Loves pets, cuddles, and naps!
