Pet care experience
Before I had my own dog, I often pet-sat for many neighbors and friends. I have the sweetest maltese whom I have spoiled and trained for over a decade. I have stayed several nights in the home of a family-friend to care for their senior dog, which included administering medications, preparing specialized meals, walking, etc. I have also stayed several nights to care for and continue training a puppy. I have occasionally stayed overnight for a family member with 4 full-grown labradors, to feed, walk, and supervise. I am very good with handling rowdy/energetic dogs as long as they cannot physically overpower me.

My lease unfortunately does not allow for me to offer boarding in my apartment, however I am able to care for your dog in their own home for as long or as frequently as needed. When staying in a client's home, I try to reflect your own care of your pet, and keep up with their regular schedule as much as possible. Please inform me of your dog's regular sleeping habits (such as favorite spot to sleep, if they get up for water at night, how early they need to be let out, etc.) So I can make sure I am accommodating their routine and can identify any unusual behavior.

Let me know the level of training your dog has reached, any triggers they may have, or irresistable urges (such as chasing squirrels, so I know to make sure they are harnessed and I can stay away from areas where they may become overwhelmed). Please inform me of any unusual behaviors they have been displaying lately, or quirks that are normal for your dog but may be surprising to anyone who doesn't know him/her.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs of any personality. I often follow their lead in what they choose to do, whether it be playing with their favorite toy, getting belly rubs, playing tag in the yard, or walking/hiking somewhere with familiar friends or new smells.

Availability
I have a very flexible schedule. I can often take last-minute requests and have no problem commuting. For house sitting, I will be gone multiple times during the day but for no longer than 4 hours at a time, and will stay all night. My partner takes care of my own dog while I am away.
