Pet care experience
Hi! My names Victoria, and I’m a certified veterinary assistant currently in undergrad on a pre-vet track! I’ve had pets my entire life, and currently have a Siamese cat and malinois of my own! I’ve always had a passion for providing them with the best care possible. I earned my veterinary assistant certification through Blue Ridge Community College where I took courses on introductory veterinary science, animal anatomy and physiology, as well as behavior. I began working at my first clinic on my 16th birthday, and have been working in the field ever since! I’m experienced in administering oral medications, basic dog training, special needs dog care, reactive and hyperactive dog and puppy care, dog walking and bathing, pet sitting, cat and exotic care, nail trims and more! I’m so excited to meet you and your pets! I show up prepared and ready to provide your pets with the best care, and will be happy to accommodate your pet in any way needed. For walking, I will always have a slip lead for emergencies, as well as pet-parent approved treats. I carry a fanny pack with all of the dog walking and care essentials! This pack double as the in clinic pack I use at work, so I’ll be able to help in urgent situations.
Reviews
Victoria did an amazing job checking on Hero and walking him and whatnot while I was away. She gave lots of updates and pictures and made me feel a lot better about leaving him for the weekend!
Victoria is very dependable, and on time, did a fabulous job being Marshalls person.
Victoria
Victoria was great! She left very detailed notes on her visits that gave us a good idea of how the animals were doing. I felt very comfortable that all of our fur babies were being well cared for.

Each animal is different, and it’s very important to me that your pet is comfortable during the duration of my care for them. I’m familiar with animal body language across many species, and will respect your pets boundaries to ensure their comfort and safety. If you know of any fears or dislikes your pet has, please let me know beforehand so I can provide the best care possible tailored to your pet!
Information Victoria D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or medical alerts. It’s also important for me to know if your dog is reactive, aggressive, timid or has any behavioral issues. I’d love to help work with you and your pet on these issues, and It’s important for me to be aware to keep everyone safe! Please also let me know if your pet has any allergies or must receive specific treats or rewards on walks.
A typical day
Encouraging dogs to express their natural behavior is incredibly important to me, and I think allowing for time to stop and sniff and fully take in their surroundings is a great way to provide physical and mental stimulation, which can result in a calmer dog in home! I can work with your dog on reactivity and am comfortable offering training for various behavioral issues and can discuss training plans with you upon request. This can include basic recall, lead line training, working on reactivity and dog aggression (limited to a safe environment), house training, and more! I often do not charge extra for these services as behavior is something I truly enjoy and think is a vital part of pet ownership. It’s important to note that, despite my experience, I am NOT, a veterinarian or a certified dog trainer, I’m simply using knowledge on behavioral analysis and hands on experience!
