Pet care experience
I've been a pet-owner, pet-sitter, dog aunty, shelter volunteer, and all-round animal aficionado my entire life. I grew up in Houston where I have always been the family pet-carer when anyone goes out of town. This is my 4th year living in Door County where I've been volunteering weekly at the animal shelter and spending my summers taking all my friends' dogs hiking and camping.

I have never left my dogs alone with anyone but family so was quite nervous but needed a vacation so badly. Victoria was a godsend! I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She bonded with my dogs immediately left the house in beautiful order, communicated with me regularly with photos, so I felt secure and able to, enjoy my vacation.

Victoria was great! We have two very high maintenance older French bulldogs and she did great with them. Was nice to have someone come to our home where the dogs are most comfortable. Would highly recommend!

My aim for animal care is to create a feeling of companionship for both myself and the pets. I'm an active person and enjoy high energy pets who love a lot of walking and playtime. As someone who has always had a deep reverence for animals I also have a particular soft spot for shy pets and earning an animal's trust through patience and respect of their boundaries.

I would like to know your dog's general history especially if there was a previous owner to ensure I avoid any triggers or behaviors that could put them on edge. Let me know how your dog reacts to other pets, new people, or being walked in new places. Please tell me if they've had any leash training so I can follow any protocols that they are used to.
A typical day
I love walking and hiking and being anywhere outdoors and having a dog along to enjoy the adventure makes it so much better. I'm familiar with a lot of the local trails and parks across the county if your dog likes a wander in the woods or an afternoon on the beach. I also love working on tricks with dogs so let me know if yours is trying to learn anything!

Availability
I am currently working part time at a local brewery and looking to fill my days off with some dog walks or drop in visits. I am also available to do overnight pet-sitting or be an extra set of hands to help out those bringing their pets on vacation.
