Pet care experience
That's me with Percy, one of 10 Australian Shepherds I've had in the last 44 years. Dogs have been part of my life as a child, growing up on Long Island, and then from 1976 when I got my very first Aussie, Campbell. There has not been many gaps since then where I've not had at least one dog around. My care for dogs has always included a happy environment, healthy activities, and solid training - after which the understanding between pet and person blossoms!

I own a large house in Fayetteville, with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. We even have a back 'dog room' with a soft wool rug, where pups can race around and not slip and slide! The backyard is dog paradise, with clean grass, and also hills and valleys for running. It isn't fully fenced, so activities will be on leash here, and at the nearby Erie Canal Hiking Trails. Training is also available (addtl' charge) for people who want their dog to be in 'day school' and come home ever more responsive and well behaved.

Like everything in life, we do have our preferences! We prefer well behaved dogs that are NOT excessive barkers. No shock there. Lol. Love ALL breeds of dogs, but do not have room here for an aggressive animal. If you have a dog known to be aggressive, or potentially aggressive, this is not the place. I wish to provide a SAFE place for all the pets & people on the premises.
A typical day
We live 1 block from Erie Canal trails, and open fields and parks. Dogs can play all day long with each other, and my dogs in the safety of this large house and our 'dog room', or in our large fenced yard. Our mission will be to return Fido, happy, but too pooped to pop.

Availability
I own a large house on 1/2 acre of a very private- with a fenced - backyard. As a writer - save for the intermittent run to the grocery store - I'm home pretty much all the time. Your dog will have my attention by way of walks, hikes, with options for Training!, AND Pet Photography!. (These services are addtl'). Activities will be several times each day. Besides which, will be the attention and company of my own lovely, dog friendly, intelligent Australian Shepherd, Molly. (See pics)
