Pet care experience
I live near Bellingham's Lakeway Park & Ride in a house that is near a green belt and a part of the inter-urban trail system. I have a yard with chickens--that can be cooped up if your dog isn't fowl friendly--and a house populated with dog friendly cats and a cockatiel that's too confident for his own good. I also have my own dog--an almost two year old collie named Aela. I'm experienced with crate training and puppy socialization, and my collie is a wealth of help in that area as well. I foster with the AHS and have experience with several different breeds and personalities. Though I'm more experienced with herding dogs, I'm comfortable interacting with any sized breed. I only practice kind leash-training, meaning I don't use choke chains or pinch collars, and use primarily wonder walkers and treat incentives.
Reviews
Victoria did a great job taking care of our dog Maple!!
Victoria has been a friend of mine for four years now. For those four years I have only ever seen her treat her animals with love and care. We both bond over being animals lovers, and when I need help with pet care tips I always go to her. She raised her own pup from youngster to adult awhile teaching her tricks and how to behave. It always amazes me how much patience and dedication she puts in to her animals. Victoria has even opened her house up to foster animals, finding many of them loving and caring homes. She would do a great job sitting others dogs, caring for them as if they were her own.

Information Victoria C. would like to know about your pet
Any resource guarding or possessive behaviors should be communicated to me before any dog is dropped off at my house, I can address these things but I'd rather not have to find out about them at meal time or when a dog gets possessive over a toy or a chew. I will not take dogs that are aggressive towards other dogs, or dogs that have high prey-drives seeing as I have other animals to worry over as well. If your dog requires medication, that information should be passed on before the dog is dropped off, as should any dietary restrictions. My animals all eat Taste of the Wild, so if your dog eats another brand an amount that can last their stay would be welcome so as to avoid dietary distress.
A typical day
I have a trail system right near my house and often go to parks around town to walk my own dog. I am learning new ways of obedience training in the form of games that can be played in the house and yard to engage and entertain my own dog, fosters, and rover-stays. I would ask that any dog left with me comes with his/her own collar, I.D. tag, and harness that I can use on walks. Any treats that are particularly enjoyed by the dog would also be welcomed!
