Pet care experience
I have just moved back to Rochester after being in Chicago for grad school. I am excited to be able to meet and watch your pets! I've had pets my whole life. I have cared for dogs, cats, and even chickens! I have experience caring for others' pets for 30 minutes all the way to several months. If your furry friend is a getting a bit older and takes his time going around the neighborhood or if he's a young pup excited to see the world, we can go at the right pace. I know that allowing pets to smell and explore their surroundings during a walk is mentally stimulating and will help them feel content to relax when they're home. I love cats and dogs of all kinds and treat them as if they were my own!

For house-sitting, I am comfortable staying at your house with your pet if that is what you'd prefer. I also can go back to my house in the evenings too! When I am not in class, I will hang out at your place with your pet to give them company! I have a cat at home so I can not house any additional pets with me but having her and having my family pet has taught me a lot about animal body language and how to keep them happy.

I would like to have an understanding of the dogs behavior around other dogs and with common commands. Let me know if your dog has any special needs (nervous around other dogs, spooks easily, etc). I prefer to do Meet and Greets to meet both the owner and the pet, and to talk about general care and expectations.
A typical day
I am able to match the walking style of the dog, whether that is quick paced and long distances or if it is only a couple of blocks full of sniffing and pauses.

I work during regular business hours, so I'm mostly available in the evenings or on weekends. I can work week nights with enough notice, so don't hesitate to ask!
