I have never lived life without a dog by my side. My first word as a child was actually "doggie". I have a deep affection for all animals, but love dogs and cats the most. I grew up with a sweet gray tabby, and had 3 dogs growing up. I currently have 2 mini poodle mixes of my own, Leo (5) and Pearl (3). My husband and I take extremely good care of them, and would do the same for any pet. We raised them both from 12 weeks, so we are well versed with puppies. Leo and Pearl know sit, stay and shake. Our dogs are very friendly with other dogs and spend regular time with elderly dogs. Because my husband is allergic to cats, we can only host dogs in our home, but I do not mind watching pets at owner's homes. I have experience administering medication to my dogs on a regular basis. I know the ins and outs of safe dog walking. Our dogs get regular 30-45 minute walks every day weather permitting.
