I worked at Performance Dogs for three years and learned about dog behavior, obedience training, agility training and dock diving. I enjoyed being outside with the dogs for up to three hours a day, exercising them until they get into a calm receptive state where then you can do obedience training which ultimately is just as fulfilling to the dog as it is to the owner. I also worked at Petsmart Pet Hotel as an Overnight Specialist and saw the effects of longtime boarding without personal one-to-one attention. I also have owned a dog in my childhood and adult life, have always been inclined to them and enjoyed their presence. In total I have about 5 years of professional experience working with dogs and 1 year with cats.
