Love & Care of Your Pet At My Home
Pet care experience
I love animals – all animals, and dogs most of all. There’s never been a time in my life when I’ve been without a dog, and usually more than one. At one point I had five because I kept finding lost dogs that, despite my best efforts, no one claimed. There was never a chance of leaving them at the pound, so they became part of the family. I’ve had dogs at every stage of their lives, from puppies to seniors. Consequently, there are very few medical problems that I haven’t dealt with: arthritis, incontinence, allergies, cancer, seizures, lyme disease, emergencies and many more. I’m an old hand at administering pills, shots and even intravenous feedings. Needless to say, I have solid established relationships with Wolcott Veterinarian Clinic and VCA Shoreline Emergency Hospital. A lot of my dogs have needed special care, especially as they aged. As a result, the one time I had to go in the hospital myself, I had a friend stay at my place to take care of them. I understand the concern that dog-lovers have when they have to leave home and don’t want to board their babies in a kennel where personal care and the kind of concern every dog deserves cannot be relied upon. I am retired and me and my dogs are rarely apart. If I can take them with me when I go out, I do. However, when the weather is very hot, it isn't safe. I try to take them for long walks every day depending on the weather. In any case, I have a nice sized, fenced backyard where there is plenty of room to run and play. I feed my dogs premium dog food. When we go for walks, they get a thorough check for ticks and any other pests. They have a good sized back yard, but spend most of their time in the house (their choice--whatever they want to do). They NEVER sleep outside at night. Their shots and health care are always up to date. Sometimes, dogs have accidents -- that's what the Rug Doctor’s for! Currently, I have 3 dogs, small, medium and large. They are very friendly and love company. I am retired I do not work. I rent out second floor apartment and I work for Rover and those are my jobs. The landlord part is very minimal work. I give them whatever they need. Food, medication, treats, supplements, exercise, walks, playtime, sleep time, filtered water, companionship, hugs, petting, ear rubs, brush fur and the most important of all love and safety.

Victor took great care of Willow. Thank you so much!
Victor took such special care of our dog Sebastian. Sebastian is older and has hip issues and Victor made sure to keep an extra close eye on him to make sure the other dogs gave him his space. He also went out of his way to spoil him with special treats to make him feel at home and a new squeaky tennis ball because ball time is his favorite. We received photos and updates everyday which helped us feel at ease to enjoy our trip away. He even suggested a fish oil after we left to help Seba with his arthritis. Victor truly cares about every dog that comes through his door, we are very grateful for his diligent care and highly recommend.
Victor is a great individual, very vested in the well being of his fur clients. I had upd
Victor a great with my baby. I was very nervous about leaving her but Victor kept in touch with me and sent me pictures. Storm came home tired and happy. Will definitely board with Victor again!

I have various dogs in size from 18 lb to 69 lb. All my dogs are neutered, fixed and friendly. They are very excited when they meet new dogs so meet and greets are always the worst time. I never bordered a dog that didn't end up getting along well with my own, pretty quickly.

If they are aggressive toward people or other dogs. And if their vaccine profile is up to date. Also if they are properly treated for flea and tick prevention. And if they have any special needs physically, emotionally or medically. While I do not prefer to accept unneutered male dogs I do if they're not aggressive and there are no unspayed female's here, which once in awhile occurs. Unspayed females can only be accepted if there are not in heat and there are no unneutered males here at that time. I prefer not to have unspayed females but I do make exceptions, sometimes.
A typical day
Play fetch with balls or sticks, some dogs like to play tug of war, others just like you too run around the yard with them. Hide dog treats in toys designed for this. Dog walks at Fulton Park and two local high schools are common for my dogs.

I am retired on fixed income. Taking care of dogs is my passion and my job. I only leave home when I have to. Grocery shopping doctor appointment, vet appointment ,etc. Also, I am always flexible on pickup and drop off time. And there's no extra charge. I don't want anyone rushing to pick up or drop off their pets. Sometimes I take in emergency bookings when people are in a bind even though I am fully booked up I have squeezed in extra dogs more than once to help people out. Originally started this to help out the dogs and make some money doing it. After two and a half years of doing this as of January 2024, the client's I meet many times, have become very important to me also. met some really awesome people, in some cases I have maintained contact with. It is a very big side benefit of the business I never planned on when I started. I do talk too much so I can say my resolution for 2024 is to limit my words and being too personal with people. I vow that as of today January 3, 2024.
