I live with my long term lovely partner (also a pet lover) in the foothills of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with country walks outside our front door. We are a personable, physically fit couple. We have one small dog called Boo (our cat Coco died 3 years ago). I vary our walks to keep our canine minds agile and curious, after all it's what dogs live for. I also do a scamper in the evening to help our furry friends sleep better. I'm happy to warm shower smaller dogs so they can then enjoy a cuddle on the sofa. I have a large extension where we mostly reside so dogs and cats are never alone and we have double doors leading out into the secured garden. I have had dogs and cats all my life and grown up children who live away from home. I have good interpersonal skills, so it's easy to communicate with me.

Skip looked after our 3 year old nervous rescue Otis for a weekend and was so patient and understanding of him. We got really regular updates which helped us know how he was getting on settling in too (not always the case with others on Rover, surprisingly). Skip’s home is the ideal location and setup, very calming, including her dog Boo. By the end of the weekend Otis was snuggling up to Skip and her partner Andy on the sofa, which is more relaxed that he's been elsewhere so quickly and a testament to the care she gave him whilst we were away. He’s looking forward to his next stay already!

I would need to know whether your dog is: Toilet trained, can roam free off the lead, is nervous around other dogs, has good recall.
A typical day
We would go an exciting adventure every day into the Surrey Hills, Leith Hill, the public footpaths right outside our home, varying walks and if your dog needs a swim then I know where there are streams and waterways. Despite Rover advertising 30 min walks I always take owner’s dogs out for at least one hour at no extra cost.

Availability
I work from home every day, mainly from our large extension - so I am 'present' for any pet guests we have staying.. The only day I am out is Wednesday and Thursday from 9.45am but your pet would still get a long walk in the morning and a shorter one in the evening as I am home by 4pm - 4.30pm. Oh, and my friends call me Skip, although my legal name is Vicky. 😊
