Update on March 7, 2024: I'm needing to take an extended break from dog sitting after May 2024 but will plan to start up again sometime in 2025. I've had dogs around most of my life (family pets, my own, and sitting for friends/family) and love taking care of them! My husband and I love having dogs around, and we want to offer services to people who need sitting/walking.

Vicki did a great job taking care of our Phoebe. While we were on vacation we got daily updates and photos of Phoebe that let us know she was doing well. Phoebe seemed happy and in high spirits when we picked her up after a week. I highly recommend Vicki - you can trust she will take loving care of your dog.
Vickie was amazing! It was our first time using rover and she was patient with us and our pup and provided plenty of pics/updates along the way.
Vickie has her wonderful both times we have had our pup stay with her. She is very responsive and gives wonderful updates to make you feel at ease. I would definitely recommend her!

Our home has all that's needed for dogs (beds, blankets, toys, bowls, and medium size crate if wanted). All you need to bring is your pup along with their food/snacks, leash/collar, and any favorite thing(s) that will make them feel comfortable and at ease. We only feed dogs their own food/snacks and can maintain tricks that the owner wishes.

Does your dog chew on any furniture, socks/shoes, or other things that are not their toy? Are they alright around house plants? Does your dog have any separation anxiety? We kindly ask that your dog is house trained and goes potty outside.
A typical day
Unless specified differently from the owner, we'll take your dog on a 30 min walk early in the morning before feeding them their specified meal and amount. I work from home full time so I'll have your dog by me as I'm working and will take breaks every hour or so to play with your pup or take it outside for quick walks as needed. In the evening, We'll walk your dog for 30 min walk before coming home to feed them. We'll lounge at home and have the dog hang with me on the couch, do some tricks with treats, and let them out for one last quick walk before bedtime. They can sleep with us in my bed or on their own bed/crate.

I work remote full-time and my mornings are open/flexible. I have a morning and evening route for walks, and take breaks during the day to provide plenty of quick walks and play/snuggle time. Our home is in a very dog friendly neighborhood with lots of sidewalks and grass areas nearby. We avoid interacting with other dogs and the dog park when I dog sit just to be safe.
