Best Dogcation They Will Ever Have!

Pet care experience

Why send your dog somewhere else when they can have the best DOGCATION ever with me at Vicki's Pup Palace!! Home full time to provide your fur baby with lots of love and attention all day & night long. In addition to dog boarding at my home, I am now offering dog walking and drop/in visits. I grew up with samoyeds and used to pet sit in my late teens through my early 30’s. My favorite client was Coco the monkey! He was awesome and a lot of fun to care for. Now that I work from home, we took the plunge and got a dog of our own. I love taking her on walks and playing with her throughout the day. She is a people lover and hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t want to play with. Your pup is sure to be treated like royalty in my care with lots of love, attention. and play time. Working from home allows me the flexibility to take your fur baby on potty breaks and walks throughout the day and provide your fur baby with all the love and attention s/he needs. Who wants to be cooped up in a crate all day long at some boarding place? Certainly not my dog and most definitely, not yours! My DOGCATION daily rate includes the following (meaning I don’t charge extra like some places do around town). 🐾 belly rubs 🐾 doggie massages 🐾 playing fetch 🐾 command training 🐾 potty breaks every 4-6 hours or more 🐾 3-4 daily walks (15-20 min each) 🐾 positive behavior reinforcement 🐾 cuddle time 🐾 Safe socialization w/neighborhood pups 🐾 medication administration 🐾 lots of doggie photos 🐾 daily updates FROM your pooch ❤️ Hope to make your fur baby’s next DOGCATION their best DOGCATION ever!! Please contact me to see if I’m available. ❤️🐶❤️🐶❤️🐶❤️🐶❤️🐶 Typical DOGCATION Schedule (will be modified based on your dogs normal routine and if they have any special needs): 6:30/7:00 am - Up and at 'em! Potty break in the front yard then breakfast 7:30 am - a stroll around the neighborhood taking in all the new smells. This is typically a 30 minute SNIFFING walk (1 mile approximately). We aren't in it to win the race so it's a slow stroll. Why a sniffing walk? Dogs need mental stimulation and enrichment that can help increase their focus so I let them lead me rather than me leading them. This is just as important as physical exercise so I never skip this step. And, it wears them out just as much as a brisk walk. A tired dog is a happy dog! 10:30 am - potty break or just some fresh air on the back deck or front yard 12:00 pm - Exercise! 2nd walk where I lead them for half the time and they lead me (sniffing walk) the other half of the time. Typically 15-20 minutes 3:00 pm - play time, potty time 5:00 pm - dinner time 6:00/6:30 pm - Evening walk - mostly me leading them to get in a good workout but I do let them sniff around so they can find a good spot to do #2 then I pick up the pace and keep them moving throughout the neighborhood. Typically 20-30 minutes 9:00 pm - quick walk around the cul de sac/front of house to potty before bedtime NOTE: If you have a senior dog or a dog with injuries or sensitivities or it's just too dang hot/cold out, walking routines will be adjusted. Throughout the day, your fur baby is either with me in my office or in the living room chilling out. I take lots of breaks during the day to stretch and move around which means your pooch gets lots of hugs, belly rubs and playtime in between all the the other activities. For your dogs protection when we have deliveries, they will go into the front room with glass doors closed so they do not escape when answering the door. Dogs are never on a walk/outside without being on a leash unless they are on the back deck which is gated and secure. They always have fresh water when on the deck and can be in the sun or shade (we have a big umbrella). I take great care to keep your dogs protected and safe!

Vicki took great care of our pup. She stayed on top of her medication schedule and sent lots of updates. Our dog really enjoyed playing with her dog, Bailey!

Vicki was wonderful! She took amazing care of my pup. She made sure we had a meet and greet before and that my dog and her sweet dog Bailey got along. I loved my updates and know my dog was well cared for. Will definitely be using Vicki again!

Vicki P took great care of our beloved dog while we traveled. We will enthusiastically leave him with her again. She was exceedingly thoughtful about his needs, completely reliable, extremely kind in her communications, and obviously loves dogs. She took care of our dog as if he were her own. I cannot speak highly enough of her.

I'm a little late in posting my review but once again Vicki was great! Scarlett was there for an extended stay and I couldn't have been more pleased with how well she cared for Scarlett. Would definitely recommend and will be using her again. Scarlett had an awesome time!

Information Vicki P. would like to know about your pet

Please bring your own dog treats as a dog's tummy is very sensitive to new foods. Also, please bring their food and water bowls, any special toys and especially their bed if they are accustomed to sleeping in it. If your fur baby requires medication, please provide dosing instructions. ANY history of biting of ANY kind must be divulged prior to booking a visit. We welcome the most fun loving, energetic pups to the more laid back, "leave me alone" kind of pup. Older pups are especially welcome and will be treated like a king or queen as they should be! Pottying in the house or inside marking behaviors are frowned upon. We understand accidents happen when fur babies are in a new environment. However, If these behaviors are displayed and cannot be stopped by frequent potty breaks and positive encouragement, your pup will need to be crated when he/she does not have our full attention (ie. when we are cooking, working, cleaning, etc). All crates are in the great room so your pup is never alone or secluded while they are crated. I typically keep a large crate up when doing DOGCATIONS because my pooch likes to hang out in there for some solitude or when she eats. If your dog is accustomed to sleeping in a crate or needs to be crated if we leave the house, you can use mine or feel free to bring theirs. Every dog is unique in their own way so any tips on their likes and dislikes you want to share will ensure they have the best Dogcation of their life.
