I have training in long-distance running, so if your dog has extra energy, I can run with them until they're worn out - yes, it's possible. Does your dog stop to sniff everything? I have the patience to stop and let them sniff. I believe that dog walking is for the dog's enjoyment and If they want to sniff, I'll wait. Do you have a senior dog? I don’t mind walkjng at a steady snail’s pace. I’ll treat it as a walking meditation.
