Lincolnshire Pet Care ❤️🐶
Pet care experience
Care includes: 2-3 walks per day, play, dog mug shots (sent daily), plenty of cuddles and private attention, feeding, showering, treat spoilage (if allowed), and whatever else they may need. Fussy pets are welcome! I've been using Rover for the past year now, and have taken care of pets of many different sizes, breeds and characters. I don't have any of my own pets right now. Previous experience: I learned to take care of animals from a young age, my first pets were guinea pigs (Butternut and Rambo). A while back, I travelled around Southeast Asia for 2.5 years and spent a lot of time taking care of cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, goats, fish and rabbits. One place had 19 rescue cats, from newborn to senior ages. During the end of my stay, we also rescued 3 more newborn kittens tied up in bin bags. It's experiences like this that make me really want to do everything I can to make sure animals are well looked after, and this is why I like representing Rover. In another place, I took care of 7 adult dogs (thai ridgebacks and labradors), which was quite intense as they squabbled a lot, but it was quite easily sorted with play time, separating feeding areas, and long walks. I have experience with looking after rescue dogs, dogs with anxious attachments/separation anxiety, and blind dogs. I'm happy to take dogs with oral medications or eye drops. I have pet sitting course certifications in dog behaviour and health and safety from novabright. * I'm currently unable to do boarding, I can only do housesitting for the foreseeable future *
Reviews
Dexter had a super stay with Veronica. He was instantly happy with her and looked really settled in the frequent pictures that were sent. I would absolutely recommend Veronica as a sitter and should the opportunity arise I would be very happy for Dexter to stay with her again Thanks Veronica
Lenny is always happy to see Veronica, and is clearly well looked after
Wonderful as always :-)
Veronica put me at ease

Safety, trust & environment
For housesitting, I don't mind looking after more than one pet at a time, as they're already familiar with each other and the environment. However, I only take one dog at a time for boarding/daycare, this is for the dog's safety and for myself, as I don't know how they will react to unfamiliar dogs from different places. I do not want to become like a kennel owner, I want to give a pet the care and attention they deserve. This is why I might be fully booked for a while. With 1st time bookings, we'll organise a meet up in person to talk about anything else.

Information Veronica T. would like to know about your pet
- If they have special needs - If they have separation anxiety - How they respond to other dogs - Any medications - Energy levels
A typical day
I normally spread out my walks over 2 or 3 per day, from 0.5-1.5 hours depending on their energy levels and needs. There are plenty of local parks and river walks close to where I live!

Availability
What to expect: I do not own a car so please do not book with me if this is a problem. I work from home, so pets stay near me for most of the day as I do things around the house. They are welcome to go anywhere they want and to explore/sniff to their heart's desire. I don't mind smaller dogs sleeping on my bed with me if they sleep well. Otherwise, I let pets sleep beside the bed or downstairs with their own bed/blankets, although most pets prefer my sofa, which I am completely fine with if they're well trained. I sometimes have to go out, in which case I wouldn't leave them for more than a few hours (depending on the dog and how well they can stay by themselves). Please do let me know if your dog is anxious so I can prepare properly. I'm introverted so my household is calm and quiet, and the area I live in is also quiet.
