With 14 years of experience owning Boxers, 2 years as a volunteer at a dog shelter and 6 years as a pet sitter, I am practised at looking after medium-sized breeds on a daily basis: feeding, administering oral medicines, walking, basic grooming and first aid. I also have the patience and proficiency necessary when caring for anxious, elderly and sick dogs. I am trustworthy, reliable, prompt, love taking long walks and have my own car, so mobility is not a problem. Additionally, I obtained my DBS certificate in 2015. I walk dogs and look after pets in their owners’ homes where the familiar surroundings and usual daily routine mean the animals are happier and more relaxed. My main concern throughout any assignment is the well-being and safety of the animals I am caring for. I also send regular photo updates to the owners to help give them peace of mind while they are away. I love pet sitting and dog walking as it has allowed me to 'keep dogs in my life', which for me is very important because I cannot own a pet in my rented house. I have experience with Bearded Collies, Shar-peis, Staffies, Great Danes, West Highland Terriers, German Shepherds, Retrievers, Labradors, Springer Spaniels, Sighthounds, Bulldogs, Labradoodles, Chihuahuas, Bologneses, and Schnauzers amongst others.
