Pet care experience
I am currently an emergency veterinarian in Boulder, Colorado so your pets will be in good, caring hands. While I love being able to care for and save sick or injured pets in the hospital, I use time outside of work to care for healthy pets and give myself some compassion relief. I’m also always looking for a dog to be my temporary running buddy as I explore our local trails + running paths! I have 2 cats and a dog of my own and have plenty of experience caring for all of them (and then some!) I’ve worked with exotic animals as well. Your pet will not find better, more loving hands! I live in Gunbarrel and love to spend time running there (I even take my cat in a cat stroller sometimes). I can always take your pet there - plenty of nature!! - or come walk them near your house - wherever you prefer. I can’t wait to get to know your fur baby & take A-plus care of them!

I have two precious Persian kittens who Veronica has taken care of since I got them! She’s the only person I trust my “kids” with, since she’s experienced and a vet student. If they’re ever sick, she’s able to give them their medication. A big plus for me is that she will always notice and tell me if something seems off with their health - she notices things I don’t even notice as their owner!! Veronica has 2 cats of her own and says she’s had cats all her life, so she’s very experienced and comfortable with them and it shows!
I always rely on Veronica to take my black lab, Oakley, running. He’s a high energy pup, and I don’t have the time or energy to exercise him, but he adores Veronica & always looks forward to their runs! As an outdoor girl herself, Veronica knows of plenty of parks and trails to take Oakley. I trust her with my fur baby, since she’s always accountable and is in school to become a vet! I’d definitely recommend you use Veronica to be a buddy for your pup!

I can determine if a pet wants to play, wants to be at arms’ distance, needs a little time to warm up, is getting a bit exhausted, etc. I let their mood and personality determine how I will approach them and what activities we may do.

I would like to know what your pet’s personality is towards new people, their favorite treats, where they do and do not enjoy being pet, how quickly they are to tire, and *most importantly* any prior medical history. I’d like to be able to tailor my care to their personality and health status.
A typical day
I love taking dogs to the Twin Lakes dog park, the LoBo trail, or the Boulder Reservoir - but I’ll enjoy walking down the beautiful neighborhood streets just as much. With kitties, I love to give them head and chin scratches, play their favorite toys with them, or just spend quality time. I’ve been a cat owner my whole life, so I’m quite in tune with figuring out their interests and letting them guide the interactions.

I am currently an emergency veterinarian, so my schedule changes frequently but I often have multiple days or nights off and can often provide care during odd hours or typical 9-5 workdays.
