I can’t remember a day without having a dog by my side. My parents always had a dog and a cat at our family home so I adopted my first dog the minute I moved out. I raised a wonderful Yorkie for 17 years and was devastated when I lost her to cancer. I now am a mother of Lolita, a 12 year old Morkie (Maltese and yorkie). She is a therapy dog, extremely friendly and well behaved. She is always ready to make new friends. I volunteer with various animal shelters in South Florida and in a Monkey sanctuary in South Africa on a regular basis. I enjoy going on long walks near the water with Lolita and other dogs that I welcome in my house. I treat all dogs who are staying with us as they were my own and give them all attention and care they need. I have been cooking my dog’s food for years (healthily combo of brown rice, ground turkey and fresh season veggies) and bake carrot/peanut butter cake for her birthdays.
