Though I have never personally owned a dog, I have taken care of various dogs for friends while they were away on trips. I love playing with dogs, taking care of them, and look forward to learning more about them! I am dedicated to treating your dog the best I can and am eager to learn as I hope to get a dog of my own in the future. I live with my boyfriend who is also experienced with dogs and willing to help out. He has personally owned a Portuguese water dog for 12 years and is experienced in training and caring for our fluffy friends!

Veronica was a great sitter for my (really “special”) dog Eevee! My dog recently had surgery the week before and had a few atypical things (minimal activities, low appetite, couldn’t scratch her neck) and Veronica made sure to take great care of Eevee but also kept me posted the entire time. Veronica also made sure to keep me in the loop and ask questions regarding Eevee’s low appetite to make sure this was expected (which it was as a result of her surgery). Overall, Veronica made taking a trip away from our dog super easy and relaxing.
We are so pleased with the excellent care that Veronica provided to our pup while we were gone for a couple of days! She frequently took her on walks and even played fetch with her, and provided updates with photos multiple times a day. Highly recommend Veronica and will be using her again!

I live in an apartment but have easy access to all kinds of different parks. Right outside of my apartment complex we have several open spaces and grassy areas for dogs to run around and play. Very often there are also other dogs playing so if your dog likes to socialize they may get the opportunity to meet new friends!

Don't hesitate to let me know if there are specific things I need to watch out for! It would be helpful to give me a copy of your dogs normal schedule so I can try to keep that consistent. Also, it would be helpful for me to know if the dogs are good off leash so I know how much freedom to give them.
A typical day
I am open to any activity depending on what the dogs like to do! Activities include fetch, taking them to new places to explore, playing with them and their favorite toys, and even attempting to teach them a new trick.

I am a student who lives on campus so will always only be a couple minutes away from home! Generally I am in lab Monday-Friday but my schedule is pretty flexible. On the weekends, I am always available to take care of dogs, walk them, and play with them. If you would like to schedule a longer stay just let me know, that is definitely something I am open to.
