Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Veronica. I am lucky to have a full, blended family of six companion animals - four cats and two dogs. I have enjoyed building a community of reciprocal pet care with friends and neighbors and look forward to bringing that experience to your home! I am a lover of creatures of all shapes and sizes. In addition to cats and dogs, I have experience caring for reptiles, rodents, rabbits, and chickens. You can often find me at my local pet shop hyping up all the sweet foster cats up for adoption! The first two dogs in my photos are my partner's. He is also a Rover sitter in Columbus, IN. They may come and visit, or we may go visit them if that is something you are comfortable with.

Veronica has been an excellent caretaker for my cat! She is super attentive, responsible, and great with communication - I never had to wonder or worry about how either of them were doing! Veronica really goes above and beyond for her clients and I would highly recommend her to care for any of your pets.
2nd time having Veronica watch my "Nervous Nellie." And I was again so thrilled at how well my dog adjusted and how attentive Veronica was to our needs. Highly recommend!
I was really anxious about leaving my dog for a few days to travel 8 hours away, but from the first moment I spoke with Veronica on the phone, I felt at ease. She came to meet my dog and I once before I left, and my dog warmed up to her right away (and my dog takes usually multiple times of meeting to like someone). When I dropped my dog off before my trip, Veronica was super thorough in finding out the routine and how to give the medication. I so appreciated how she sent me frequent updates and pictures to let me know how things were going. And when I returned, I could tell she had been well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with Veronica again!
My pet, Oreo had a great stay with Veronica. Highly recommend! She was very charismatic, did a great job remaining in contact and ensured that Oreo felt at home during his stay. I appreciated that she even took Oreo out for a hike and knew exactly what I experience when I take Oreo out for walks!

I am happy to respect any wishes you have regarding the care of your pets and use of your home. I appreciate detailed instructions about routines and in return will offer detailed reports! I am a very respectful house guest and am happy to help with small household tasks, like collecting the mail to watering plants, while you are gone. I do not offer constant care - I require the ability to leave for a period of at least 2 hours. I do require disclosure of, but am not opposed to, the presence and location of any security cameras in or outside of the home.

It is important for me to know how a dog reacts to other humans and animals when out on a walk, and if there are any behaviors or appearances that are triggers for the dog. I would also love to have a good sense of your pup's routine so that we can stay as close to that as possible!
A typical day
Every animal has their preferred type of play or toy, and I want to know about it! If permitted, I love to take well-trained pups to local trails and potentially brief runs, if that is part of their normal routine. With cats, it's all about keeping their minds as well as their bodies active - I have perfected the art of bird-on-a-stick!
