Enthusiastic & Attentive Caregiver.

Pet care experience

I love hiking and exercise which is a perfect recipe for all pups. I'm a twenty four year old, graduate from Kent State, I double majored in criminal justice/sciences and sociology and I would love to hang out with some great dogs and receive cheap compensation for it-- the best of both worlds! I currently work at a bar in Brunswick, as well. I’ve found that I have some free time and I would love to spend that time walking and caring for animals. My brother, who is about 19 years older than me, worked at a pet clinic for 15 years. A lot of times through the clinic, patients would inquire about pet sitting opportunities. He always let me tag along to pet sit with him and sometimes sent me on my own (with permission from his clients of course) so I have well over ten years of experience watching dogs. That same brother had many animals that clients had left to him, which gave me the experience to work and care for young and older dogs; those of which I would watch when he was away. (I do not have any experience with reptiles or birds but I am willing to learn, quickly.) Thanks for taking the time to read through this!

She took care of my dog Oscar because I didn’t want to put him in a kennel (he gets traumatized) 3 days and it felt like I never left to him it seemed. She was great and I will definitely use her again!

Veronica stayed at my house so I could enjoy the holidays with my family out of state. She took wonderful care of my home and my dog Riley! I felt less stressed knowing that my dog was in great hands. I would absolutely recommend Veronica to anyone looking for care for their pets! I will be booking again in the future!

Veronica is a committed animal advocate , who has taken care of numerous animals in the past, specifically cats and dogs. She has a passion for animals in general and would work extraordinarily hard to care for others' pets.

Veronica has cared for my dogs several times while I was out of town. She took great care of them and always made sure they were fed, took them out to go to the bathroom, and played with them. One thing I really love that she does is she takes pictures throughout the visit to reassure that they're in good hands! I definitely recommend Veronica for anyone that needs excellent dog sitting services.

I usually request some guidance to keep your pets comfortable. I want to keep them on your routine so I try to follow notes and advice from owners as well as I can. Pets typically enjoy a schedule and it's important to stick to one that has been established in the home.

Lives in an apartment
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household

Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 4-8 hours

Information Veronica D. would like to know about your pet

I typically would like to know how a client goes about meeting their dogs needs if they're neurotic or anxious dogs. Examples like, how you calm them down, what they typically do when they want to be alone (ex, ears back? tail between legs? etc.)

A typical day

Though I am weary of taking dogs to far away places from their home, their typical exercise is met through their walks. I would usually like to know how long and how extraneous their walks are to maintain their daily/typical exercise. Dependent on how well dogs do, the average walk time I take dogs out for are around 30 minutes to a little over an hour. I enjoy hiking and if a client requests for their dog to go on a hiking trip, I can absolutely arrange that.(: Personally, the exercise I like to take my senior dog on is usually hiking at Nelson's Ledges, Peninsula, or around Kent State campus (we frequent Kent campus most often).
