*I DO NOT TAKE SAME-DAY REQUESTS FOR BOOKINGS* I've helped family and friends with many dogs throughout the years! My mom got a 2-month-old Chihuahua back in 2012 and she still has him now! But he is afraid of strangers, particularly men, so learning to care for and handle him properly has been a good challenge. My aunt and uncle had two dogs, a Bichon Frise, and a Jack Russell Terrier mix for 10+ years who I'd help feed, walk, and play with in their backyard/neighborhood daily, help bathe, and (secretly, in peanut butter) gave the dogs their medicine. A friend of my mom asked if we could dog-sit her "Pocket Pitbull" (also known as a miniature pitbull, pocket bully, etc.) for a few days and she ended up staying with us for a month. I now currently have a puppy of my own named Paco (or Bub), a 7-month-old Boston Terrier! I have had him since he was just two months old, and in the past five months alone I feel like I've learned a lot about raising, teaching, and training a puppy. I am committed to helping pet parents on Rover and have dedicated specific times of my day/week to do Rover and align with my other jobs as well! In my home with Paco, we try our best to give him all the attention he needs because he definitely loves to make messes! But at 7 months old, he is almost fully potty-trained and 9 times out of 10 goes to the bathroom on command! We tell him to "go bathroom/pee-pee!" and he does. Rather than punishing him and responding poorly to negative behavior, we enforce positive behavior and praise him for that instead, and he responds super well!
