I love dogs, but my cats don't
Pet care experience
I volunteered at the Sonoma County Humane society for 5 years, where I was trained in dog walking, and ran enrichment activities for shelter dogs, I feel in love every day I was there, unfortunately when covid hit all volunteering stopped, since then I tried working for a doggie day care, but didn't agree with the owner on some things, and left. I am used to cleaning up after dogs, Have had experience in administering medications to dogs and my own cats, also will take care of cats, and sit with them if need be, I have cortication of canine behavior, and commutation

Vern did an outstanding job for me when I was traveling for a week. He stayed at my house and took care of my senior dog and cat! I can't say enough good things about how Vern cared for my pets and how comfortable I felt being gone because I knew he was there loving them in my place! Vern is honest and dependable and having him in my home meant my pets didn't have to go to a kennel. When I returned, my house was just as I left it! Which was an added bonus! If you choose Vern to care for your pets you will see that he truly loves animals!
I have rented Vern a room for 12 years and he has always been a pet lover. Helps me take care of my 2 cats and has done jobs taking care of animals. His love of dogs is amazing. He pet sits for many friends and also as a job. I would, and have, felt secure and happy to leave my pets in his care.

how they accept strangers, I want to make sure the dog likes me, this will require a meet and greet, which is no problem, we can do that
A typical day
I will take the pooches out for walks, I'll play with them on their back yards, I ran enrichment activities, I can set up puzzles with treats, and toys and let the dogs have a blast if there ae certain things the owners want me to do, that's ok too. also if the dog is a senior, then I can set and watch tv with them

I retired, so my schedule is pretty open, week days or weekends work for me, if you just want day care which would include walks, and feeding
