Pet care experience
Animal lover for 50 years. I have bred Persian Cats, and Toy Poodles in the past. ALWAYS had pets, a dog and a cat, and have also had a Yellow Headed Amazon Parrot. Now retired and giving my love to neighbor's pets around me. I especially love pets who get to sleep on the bed with me, which allows for soothing strokes through the night. However, I do understand, when a pet is to be kept in a special area, as is the case with some of my clients.

Verlinda is THE absolute best. So kind, loving, and sweet. She did an AMAZING job with our two dogs and was updating us throughout the stay. She is trustworthy and your pets are sure the love her! Thank you Verlinda!!!!
Verlinda sat with our three dogs for four nights and did a great job. She sent lots of photos and video of our dogs who appeared to be quite happy playing, walking, or just laying in her lap. She answered her texts promptly, left the house neat and clean. I was expecting a large heavier package which she was kindly brought in the house. One unexpected thing happened and that was she was scheduled to stay until 10pm (our flight was to arrive about 9pm) but she thought she was scheduled til 10AM that day. She wanted to leave earlier than the scheduled time (and mentioned she gave me a really good discount for the three dogs and was hoping it would be ok to leave early) which stressed me out as I was worried about the dogs being left alone far too long if she didn't stay. Our connecting flight turned out to be delayed because of storms in the area which just added to more stress. However, she did text me and stayed until 8:45pm, we arrived home at 10:30pm. I do recommend her and would hire her again, overall we were happy and so were the dogs, just double check the scheduled times.
Verlinda was great with Missy and did a wonderful job of taking care of her.
Just returned from a trip to Disneyland with my grand child, and my two dogs were in very good hands with Verlinda. It was extremely hard to leave one of them because she is a very senior dog and requires a lot of extra attention medically. Verlinda was great, and the dogs were exceptionally well cared for and happy upon our return. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!! She even stripped the guest bed and gathered any laundry she used??

Your Dogs or Cats behavior is critical to know prior to my sitting arrangement. If your dog doesn't like other dogs getting too close, that will be accommodated. Some cats, don't like to be held, and prefer to be fed and left alone. While I do try to engage them, I know the personality of a pet should be discussed and part of the plan for their care.
A typical day
The majority of dogs AND cats need physical activity. That can mean throwing a favorite toy or performing tricks they have learned, plus lots of conversation, praising them and letting them know your attention matters. Walks, checking out the neighborhood smells, and potty breaks, are all important to a dog's wellbeing. Cats love their toys as well, and spending time letting them chase a feather toy or a laser, shows they also care about your attention. I love, love when a pet wants my lap. They are welcome to sit there or lay on the bed next to me at night. It means as much to me, as it does for them to maintain the lifestyle they are used to.

Availability
Retired, allows me to have an OPEN schedule, however I am very athletic and do the gym three days a week for 2 hours. I am also a golfer, but when in your home, that is not something I will plan to do away from your home, unless my Pet Owner is ok with time away.
