What I love most about dogs is their unconditional love for other creatures. They are so sweet, sensitive, and trusting and always willing to be playful and go along with your silly antics! Dogs are also very intelligent, and know good people when they meet them. Growing up, there were always these kinds of dogs around and they continually exuded a sense of friendliness and happiness that really rubbed off on my family. One dog in particular, Schultz, an Airedale-Olde English Sheepdog mix, became a favorite of businesses around town for his friendly demeanor, coupled with an incredible memory for our favorite haunts and habitual destinations: the library, a neighbor's home, Friendly's Ice Cream, my grammar school. I walked with him everywhere, and every place seemed to become a part of his memory even after one visit. I was responsible for the care of our pets growing up, so I was there to feed, bathe, brush, play, exercise, and of course, love them! I’m also a volunteer at the SPCA shelters in New Hampshire and Massachusetts where I fed, played, and walked different pups. In addition to the care of our canine counterparts, I’m also well-versed in our feline friends! I had a cat for sixteen years and she died five years ago at the age of eighteen. I adopted her from the New Hampshire SPCA when she was two years old and I still miss her. Cats and dogs are great companions as they are so sweet and trusting and so smart and enñtertaining! I know how hard it is to be away from our pets so I’ll provide excellent customer service to my human, canine and felineclients by promptly returning phone calls and email messages. I will visit with humans and canines prior to the assignment, to gauge the fit between their needs and my services, as well as our personalities. I will be upfront about costs and payment types for services. I will do what I say I will and can do for the human and canine when they are my clients. I’ll also be a shutterbug - sending lots of photo and video updates so you know how much fun we’re having together. I’m available for dog sitting, walks and drop-in visits in the early mornings and in the evenings, as well as on weekends. I am gone for at least ten hours a day during the week, with commuting and working from 8:30a.m.-5:00p.m.
