Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Velvet. I don't remember a time in my life without dogs. I was raised around a Miniature Poodle, and later on had a Pomeranian and an American Eskimo. Outside of raising pups, my pet care experience includes walking dogs around Astoria, Queens and boarding as well. Boarding dogs allows me to spend more time around them as I teach from home and will have the summer off! I live in a 2 family house on the second floor and have access to the backyard as well. It is fenced in with plenty of room to run around! I have a car so I h e no problem driving them to Astoria park for a nice day out with them! I also live close to family and friends with dogs so if ever wanted, your dog can have many friends to visit and play with! I hope to meet your awesome dog soon!

Velvet is an amazing sitter. She watched my pup while I was out of town and kept me up to date with how he was doing with pictures and videos. Not sure if my dog wanted to leave when I picked him up. I’d definitely book with Velvet again in the future.
This is our second time having Velvet watch our Iggy and she did such a great job taking care of her. Velvet is very communicative and patient with our high energy dog and we always feel like Iggy is in good hands with her. We would love to book her in the future!

I have enough space to have their food and water bowls in the kitchen. I also have a small doggy bed in the living room for my parents dog who sometimes visits. I love to give them belly rubs and cuddle on the bed or couch if okay with the owner!

I’d like to know about your dog’s typical schedule or routine that I should continue to follow. I also would like to know about any stressors or anxieties your dog may have so I can be aware on our walks. Do they have any specific games or toys they like? Are they on medication?
A typical day
I am naturally an early bird so I can take them on many walks. I also have a car which allows me to drive to a ton of dog parks around me. I have taken my parents dog to Astoria Park, a dog park in Long Island city, and a nearby field just walking distance.

I am pretty available every day. I am currently in between jobs and the work that I do do from time to time is remote. I am home majority of the day!
