My family has known Vanessa since 1998 when our daughter got her first pet Pug. It was quite obvious Vanessa loved all and any animal or bird, but especially dogs. During the years of association with Vanessa and her dogs (often found at work with her) we shared her delight at a new pet, and even the tragic death of her beloved Irish setter. As the years passed and Vanessa worked with other veterinarians (due to them closing or moving out of the area) and both our pets came and passed, Vanessa worked with an honest-to-goodness house call veterinarian and would visit our home, our family as well as our pet dogs. Vanessa was always glad to visit, answer questions (very knowledgeable), offer help and play with our dogs, who adored her during the visit. Circumstances again found Vanessa working with another veterinarian until she decided to take time to enjoy the one thing that always made her happy; dogs. My family often travel, sometimes requiring boarding our pets. We were aware of her service but mostly took our dogs with us, until a tragic death in our family occurred during this last Thanksgiving holiday and we had no other choice but to find a place to board our pets; NOT ONE kennel was available, even in an urgent event. Vanessa had watched our dogs a few times over the years so we contacted her for any ideas. That's when she told us of her new dog-sitting service. She explained she was also filled for the holiday weekend with pets, but if our dogs would not be upset with other strange dogs around, then she could accommodate us for those days, including one of our dogs having a very specialized food and medication regimen for life; that concern for our dogs and not her additional fee, demonstrates she will put hers and others' pets FIRST before exposing them to an uncomfortable or dangerous situation! Very responsible. When we returned days later to collect our dogs, they were definitely happy to see us. We visited for a short while and actually witnessed how well every boarded dog was happy, playful and friendly to us as well as every other dog; it was like a Chuck E.Cheese for dogs! When it was time to leave everyone was surprised when we took them away to our vehicle when our BOTH dogs stopped, looked over their shoulders to Vanessa and their new dog friends, looked back to us and simply turned around and trotted back inside, turning to look at us from the doorway as if to say, "We love you, but this place is cool!". In our opinion, we will never board our dogs with anyone but Vanessa. Wonderful person, wonderful service. Try her service. You'll also be impressed.
