My best friends are animals! I've mostly been around barn animals since I was 10 years old. My first job, as a stable-hand, was feeding and caring for a 20+ horse farm. Working at the stables gave me a foundation for animal care and well-being and happiness. Animal care to me comes with experience and guidance from the knowledge from accredited veterinarians and animal experts; but moreover, a good care-giver comes with a natural connection with animals and a genuine care for their mental well- being. When you are away, it can be stressful for dogs in a number of ways. Some have anxiety which causes destruction of your belongings/furniture. It's always good to have someone who they can trust, that they can foster a good relationship with and help with their insecurities. High-energy dogs can get bored after a period of time (especially puppies) and you can have the same result. It's always good to have a sitter during the day to work out some of that energy they gain; they might even tire out for the rest of the day! I highly recommend getting a sitter/walker if you plan to be out more than 8-12 hours. It will avoid accidents/house training problems, it will ease your mind while your away to know that your pet is taken care of, and of course- they'll love it! I strive to provide a service that I would love to have myself. I have two dogs that can be a handful; I have a high-energy spaniel-mix that loves to play and an elderly boxer that has a handful of problems. Nothing would ease my mind more than to know that I have someone that can handle them without question. What I would like in a pet-sitter is someone trust-worthy, flexible, consistent and reliable. I would also like a sitter that is experienced in all types of personality types and wellness’s. I would also love a sitter that my little guys would adore!
