This is the first time in my life when I haven’t had my own dog. Growing up, my family had several dogs—every one of them became a member of the family. I’ve watched friends’, family, and neighbors animals growing up and into adulthood. As an adult, I adopted a puppy and after almost 15 years with my sweet, but incredibly difficult shar pei/lab mix, I had to put him down a couple months ago. Marley taught me so much about dogs’ body language and communication styles through several years of working with trainers and practicing together. I understand the importance of a dog’s own personality and communication, especially during times like walks, and first meetings. I look forward to meeting your pet and loving them in their own individual way!
