Pet care experience
Our 2 1/2 year old Miniature Schnauzer, Hugo, is very sociable and playful! We juggle working from home and going into the office but Hugo needs a day a week with some more social interaction. He has loads of energy and is house trained. As with most schnauzers, he can get over excited at the sight of another dog and definitely with cats, foxes and squirrels but we always try calm him before that happens and rewarding him with good behaviour. His recall isn't great unless he knows you well so it would be preferable to have him on the lead in open spaces and until he is more familiar with you. He is a very cheeky character 😉

Vanessa has a very kind and calm manner. My dog Coco had visited prior to her stay, and on our return she seemed very happy to stay with Vanessa. When I picked her up, she had clearly been very well looked after. I would recommend Vanessa very highly and would have no hesitation in a further booking.

Hugo needs to be calmed as he gets very excited when seeing other dogs. He has a loud bark which might come across alarming to some people. I try hard to keep him from barking, especially at children. It is also good to try calm him before he jumps up at someone. He is a bit too social for some.
A typical day
Hugo loves a good stimulated walk, playing fetch and also a bit of tug. Generally he is just very playful and enthusiastic! We like parks and woods.
