Hi there! My name is Vanessa and I'm an RN at Providence. I've been a nurse for 12 years and I love it, but I worked as a vet tech while in nursing school and I really miss my time with animals! I also used to foster rescue dogs with a local group here in Portland but can no longer do it because we've reached our limit - we've got three dogs and two cats in our tiny house and we are bursting at the seams. I'm doing this just to spend more time with my favorite people: dogs and cats. Anyone who knows me will tell you that my three favorite things in the world are dogs, pizza and coffee! I've got plenty of pizza and coffee but I need more doggos! I can't wait to meet your fur kids and spend some quality time with them!

Vanessa is an excellent dog sitter. She is very responsible and reliable. She is great with our dogs and frequently sends updates of how they are doing. We will continue to use her any time we need a sitter.
Vanessa is the best! She did a great job caring for our two very needy boy cats, and we can tell they received a ton of love and attention. She kept us well-informed and sent lots of updates with photos. When we arrived home from our trip, our cats were greeted us and were so calm and relaxed, almost like they'd had their own little vacation. We'll definitely be booking Vanessa for future trips.

I would want to know their likes and dislikes. Favorite toys, potty spots, treats. Favorite place to get pets or scratches. If they are friendly with other animals, people, children - I want to keep your dog safe as well as others. Any little habits or idiosyncrasies to be aware of? Medical issues? Allergies?
A typical day
Whatever your dog prefers! Do they want to walk? Done! Do they want to play ball? Done! Snuggle and binge-watch the Great British Baking Show? Done!

Availability
I work from home, and have gbr flexibility to work anywhere with an internet connection, so I can spend as much (or as little) time with your pets as you prefer. I do occasionally have meetings to attend but I am usually never gone longer than two hours.
