Pet care experience
I have had pets practically my whole life, from dogs to cats to smaller pets like fish and even a chinchilla. Many family members, friends and acquaintances have relied on me to help care for their pets in small ways like walking and feeding as well as long term needs such as bathing and even training of all ages. I also have experience with providing oral medications when needed, as well as plenty of senior care. As an avid hiker I also love to take dogs on adventures they’ll enjoy based off their experience/energy levels.

Vanessa did a great job with our pup Roscoe! He was so happy and tired!
Vanessa was by far the best sitter we’ve had in nearly ten years. She went above and beyond. She took pebbles on hikes and swims and dog parks, kept her super clean and managed her food and meds very well. We returned in over a week to find pebbles thriving. We would call on Vanessa in a heart beat going forward whenever we need someone to care for our pup.
Vanessa has watched my cats countless times. She always gives them love & attention, sends me photos, and really understands the personality differences of my boys - which informs how she interacts with them so they feel safe & comfortable in their home with someone who isn't their main care giver. Even my cat who is never interested in anyone but me, has ventured over to get attention from Vanessa because she let's him do it on his pen terms! That's everything I could want in a pet caregiver. Vanessa is the best!
Vanessa is AMAZING! I have 3 dogs all under 10lbs and they love her! She truly treats them as they are her own and I believe she loves them. My older dog is 14 years old and she is good with his medication and will check up on him. She will send me pictures of her snuggling them and gives reports on how they are doing. I truly would recommend her she is so great!

Some key information I’ll need is their personality, medical needs, and any quirks or triggers. An example of a quirk would be “my dog likes to pick their leash for our walks” or some triggers would be “leash reactive” “needs to eat alone” anything that creates a reaction (good or bad) so that I can either make sure it’s done or avoid the trigger.
A typical day
After meeting your pet I’ll identify their best characteristics! Do they like to play more with people or with toys, do they want to run around more or take a slow stroll? With this information I can better serve your pet so they are happy and have their needs met! With permission, I love to take dog to parks for exercise and socializing.
