Pet care experience
Ever since I can remember we have had cats in our home and in my life. When I was a bit older we got a dog as well as bunnies. I’ve always been involved in pet care like feeding, cleaning, walking, playing with. Later I lived as a live in nanny with a family with two cats and eventually a beagle puppy. Training and taking care of the puppy was part of my responsibilities in the household. I thought her tricks, encouraged potty breaks outside and went on endless walks with her. In the meantime I also dogsat and catsit friends and families pets including senior cats and dogs that needed medicine or special care. I have always loved being around animals and have been known to be very responsible with them as I consider any pet that I take care of as my own. You will not regret hiring me!

Venessa was great! Very easy to plan with and very communicative. She sent us photos and updates about our cat while she was watching him. She was very reliable and even stopped by to check on our cat extra so he wasn’t alone too long. I definitely recommend her for watching any furry friends!

I am already very experienced in opening and closing doors safely without anybody escaping. I also do not hesitate to pick up a pet if the situation requires it. I have found I gain the trust of pets pretty quickly and would use that to my advantage in the care process. I am also very clean, so I would ensure food dishes, litter boxes, apartments remain clean and safe for the pet at all times.

I would prefer to know beforehand if your pet has special exercise requirements and how they react to and interact with other dogs on walks. I have experience with not so social dogs so I don’t mind it. Just better to be aware of :)
A typical day
I love to go for walks around my neighborhood, this i will definitely provide extended walks and outside time for your dog. (Regardless of the weather, I own rainpants lol). I’m also a big fan of engaging dogs mentally with obedience training, learning new tricks or coming up with an engaging search and reward game.

Availability
I am a university student and work part time in a restaurant in town. This means that my mornings and afternoons are most often completely free in terms of location bound activities. As long as I bring my iPad I can work from anywhere and I don’t even have that much to do these days as I am not taking a lot of courses at the same time. I work part-time which means that around 3 nights a week I work for 5ish hours between 5-11pm. I can allocate my work hours with some flexibility so if necessary I can schedule around any pet-sitting schedule.
