Responsible animal enthusiast seeks furry friend. Canines must enjoy long walks to the park, copious belly rubs, and giving squirrels the stink eye. Felines must enjoy long naps, the occasional catnip, and window gazing. I have had dogs all my life and was a proud pet parent of a beautiful cat, Whopper. I would gladly love on a pooch or kitty of my own now if my situation permitted. I have been pet sitting and house sitting for the past 5 years. I have been the go-to sitter for both dog trainers and traveling cat owners. I have spent time with breeds large and small, the excitable and those of a more mellow nature. I am comfortable caring for senior pets, as well as multiple pet households. I am thorough in my clean-up and follow all directions carefully. I am committed to making your furry family member feel at ease in its home environment, as well as providing you with peace of mind while you’re away. I communicate with pet parents regularly, keeping them updated with adorable photos of their animal companions relaxing and playing with their ‘Other Human’.

Van always does an excellent job taking car of our crew! We have some older animals who usually need extra medication or help with physical issues and they are happy and loved while we are gone. It makes it so much easier to enjoy time away when you know the crew are in good hands.

Before booking a stay, I will come to meet you and your animals to ensure it is a good fit and that I have all the necessary information to care for them while you’re away. At that time we can discuss any safety measures you may have in place for your home. We will also go over vet information and what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency. While I'm caring for your pet, you won't have to wonder how they're doing. I provide text and photo updates daily and am available to hop on a call when requested. (The frequency of updates can be adjusted at your request.)

Let me know if your pet has any special needs, behaviors, or quirks I need to account for. I'd also like to know about your pet's personality and energy levels as well as how they react to other animals and humans. For walks, I'd like to know how they handle on a leash and how they respond to these Florida afternoon storms. I'd also love to know what makes your pet the happiest and most comfortable! A particular toy? Do they love to fetch or play tug of war? What's their favorite treat? Do they love belly rubs? Or if there's anything else that's important to your pet's wellbeing and your peace of mind -- just let me know.
A typical day
While caring for your pets, I’ll stick to existing routines your pets have for mealtimes, walks, and any possible medications. We’ll take walks around your neighborhood or your preferred route. I promise there will be lots of cuddles and playtime appropriate to your pet’s energy levels. I’ll snap some cute photos of Fido and Fluffy during these so you’ll get to see how much fun they’re having! Your pup will also be properly picked up after on walks, and I’ll do my best to keep them clean along the way. In the case of an unavoidable mess, I’ll make sure to get your dog looking great when we get home (and make sure they don’t track the mud all around the house). I’ll also make sure your pets abide by the house rules (if they’re allowed on furniture, etc.) even while you’re gone. I am comfortable with crating when needed but am also game for snuggles if your pet is allowed to share the bed. Your home will also be taken care of while I’m there. I will keep the place clean & tidy, as well as bring in the mail, water plants, and whatever other household tasks you may need me to manage.

I'm currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member! I am available during the workweek, nights, and weekends. I am in Gainesville year-round, including holidays. I can often accommodate last-minute requests, but don’t mind if you’d like to plan well in advance.
