Pet care experience
I started my dog handling experience at Animal Friends in Pittsburgh, PA in 2010. I have also served as a Senior Volunteer and Regional Volunteer Coordinator at Hello Bully in Pittsburgh. I am currently a Founding Member and BSL Manager for The Proper Pit Bull in Pittsburgh. I have experience caring for dogs in a shelter environment at a shelter in Easton, PA. I have also fostered several dogs in my home. This past year I worked as a professional dog sitter at IOU Pet Care in Stroudsburg, PA; working with a variety of breeds, multiple dog homes, overnight visits, daily bathroom breaks, walks, and administration of medicine. I also helped to supervise dogs at IOU's in-home boarding facility. You can check out their FB page for more pics! I absolutely love working with Pit Bulls, other bully breeds and large dogs in general. But I have also enjoyed working with many smaller clients including a five yorkie household! My graduate internship was with the Humane Society of the United States in their legislation department. I have also deployed with the HSUS and assisted with the care of dog fighting victims from the 2nd largest dog fighting bust. I have three pit bull mixes that I absolutely adore. My main man Keisel obtained his Canine Good Citizen Certification and we hope to begin therapy dog training soon. Additionally, I only use positive based methods of training. I do not currently hold any professional certifications but have experience with many dog training/behavior issues from my past volunteer positions.

My supervisor at IOU Pet Care was extremely efficient and thorough and I learned a lot from her. I relocated back to Western PA or else I would still be enjoying my time working for her. Regardless of what type of service you need, I'd like to know the following (which can be discussed in depth during our meet & greet!): Basic info like personality/disposition, likes/dislikes, energy level, medical, bite history, aggression, ever destroy items or go to the bathroom in the house, crated or free range, etc Specifics to multi-dog households Where is the food located, quantity, time, treats, toys, etc Bathroom area, location of walks, have they ever escaped the yard, leash, front door? Other miscellaneous items like where the key will be kept, how all of the doors lock/unlock, where the light switches are, cleaning supplies, emergency contact info
A typical day
During my previous dog sitting job, my experiences varied depending on how many dogs, their energy level, duration of visits, etc. I like to tailor my visits to you. I got many repeat clients because I like to keep things as stress free as possible for your pups! I treat them like my own, and I spoil my babies! So if you have a couch potato then I will gladly snuggle with them! I can stop by several times a day for feeding/potty breaks or just once. I can stop by for a nice walk in your preferred location. We can play fetch, practice learning new tricks, or just hang out watching Animal Planet.
