Pet care experience
I have had 2 Jack Russells since age 7. I worked as a vet assistant for 2 years. Occasionally, I petsit for my sister (2 wonderful cats and 2 lovely birds).

I tend to spend time with them actively playing. If a pet is tired or does not want to play, I respect boundaries and just keep them company on the side if they allow me. I like talking to them/talk story to let them know they can trust me. I can efficiently administer medications orally and subcutaneously if required.

It is important for me to know if they are allergic to anything, if they have a medical condition to watch for (e.i. seizures, high blood glucose, etc), and if they have a disability or limitations I should be careful about (painful limb or hips, can't go down or up the stairs, can't run too much, etc).
A typical day
I like to keep your pets entertained by walking them, talking to them, petting them, and spending some quality time together. As long as they allow me, I will make sure they are not bored in my presence.

I just graduated college with an animal science BS and a minor in biology. I am taking some time to work part-time in areas that could bring me happiness as I discover what I would like to study in grad school.
