I’ll treat your pet like my own ♥️
Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner and around dogs most of my life. I am friendly, reliable, and I genuinely love dogs, they are the best people. I am cautious and will follow your specific instructions for your pet to the letter. I understand how nerve racking it can be to trust someone else with your pet, but I promise to care for them as if they were my own. I have been through extensive dog training with my previous pets, and I have mastered quite a few techniques. Pets are apart of the family and should be treated as such. I am so excited to just be around dogs again, they definitely make my day better.
Reviews
Vanessa was wonderful! My wife and I were going home for Easter and because of the distance and travel, we needed someone to stay with our dog, Lucy, whom we love like a daughter. Vanessa was very kind and approachable and was always professional, calm in a crisis, which unfortunately happened. A door in the backyard that has always been closed had been opened somehow and Lucy got out, but Vanessa quickly got her back with no harm to anyone involved. She updated often and we felt comfortable having her stay in our home. Would definitely rebook in the future.
Kept me up to date and took good care of our pups.
My dog Lexi spent 6 nights with Vanessa and came back to me happy and well cared for. It was my first time leaving Lexi for an extended period of time, and I felt reassured by the updates Vanessa sent throughout the week knowing that Lexi was in good hands.
Vanessa's dog walking services exceeded my expectations! Throughout my month-long absence, she demonstrated exceptional reliability and care for my beloved pup. Vanessa seamlessly coordinated with my roommate and showcased remarkable flexibility in managing the walk schedule. A heartfelt thank you to Vanessa for her outstanding dedication! <3

I will follow any and all instructions that you may have for your pet. This includes keeping them on leash, not letting them outside while unsupervised, and/or at all if they are an indoor cat, sticking to whatever feeding schedule you have, and providing any medication that they might need. As mentioned above, I have done extensive dog training in the past as I had an aggressive dog, he was a rescue, and so I really know my way around proper dog etiquette. I will treat your pet like they are my own, and I will make sure to love and care for them while you’re away. I can also provide daily updates/checkins to help put your mind at ease.

Information Vanessa F. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog house trained? How frequently does your dog need bathroom breaks? How does your dog let you know that they need to go outside? Is your dog crate trained? Can your dog be left alone? If yes for how long? Is your dog allowed on furniture? Where does your dog sleep at night? Is your dog friendly with other dogs? If yes, can I take your dog to an enclosed dog park? Is your dog friendly with people? Is your dog friendly with kids under the age of 10? Any aggression issues that I should be aware of? Please also let me know any preferences/quirks your pet has- e.g. loud noises scare them or they don’t like being picked up/held. Let me know what their favourite type of play activity is and what their favourite treats are. What foods are strictly off limits and how much food should I be giving them. Also let me know the level of strictness you want me to upload- e.g. they’re not allowed on furniture or they need to be always crated at night.
A typical day
A typical day would be waking up, and taking your pet for a walk, or getting their breakfast started if they’re a cat. Once back from the walk, it would be breakfast time and then some type of enrichment activity (sniff and find) to keep them busy while I start my work day. Around lunch we’d go for a quick bathroom break, and have some fun with toys. After work we would do a long walk around the neighbourhood (30-60 minutes) and play some fetch if allowed. Then we would come home and eat dinner and hopefully chill out with some Netflix/playtime. Then it’s one more trip outside before bed.

Availability
I work from home full time, Monday to Friday. I live in a very dog friendly neighbourhood, so caring for your pet will be seamless. I will always prioritized the pet’s care over my own social and personal schedule, when I am looking after them.
